A happy bride is adjusting the tie for her husband to be. She must be thinking, "You are tied to me now...haha."
The husband looked a little worried to me :)

#19 Beautiful me

This bride is so happy and sporting that she posed for me, an unknown stranger, happily and without hesitation.
Noticed the covered head dress, high neck line. Christian or Muslim style?

Congratulations! ok, they are just doing a photoshoot. I did not stay to watch cause it is drizzling and
I am hurrying to get to the Roman bath. I am just thinking the photographer could have chosen a more sunny day
to do this photoshoot.

#21 Brave or Foolish

I am quite worried for this man when he is trying to adjust his ladder against the wall on the scaffolding. Worse the scaffolding
is shaking. His colleague just squat and watch nearby, didn't even bother to hold the ladder. Risking his life to change a blown bulb.

Nice pics but "Pearl of the Orient" is Penang, while Beirut is the "Paris of the ME".
Shanghai is the "Paris of the East".

I did indeed got it wrong. It should have been Paris of the Orient. Both Shanghai and Lebanon have used Paris of the Orient at some point in their history. Anyway, thanks for pointing out. I guess there is no way to change the thread title.

Thanks. Lebanon is not on a lot of people's radar. It could be an interesting place to visit during the summer months as you can go sun tanning on one side of the country and within the next hour be skiing on the other.

I need to explore SEA more. Will bookmark your threads for future references.

#23 Amir Assaf Mosque

This is the inside of Amir Assaf Mosque built in 1523. The interesting thing about this mosque is
that it used to be a church. Hence you can see huge chandeliers, painted glass windows, and others
that resembles that of a church.

#25 Mohammad Al-Amin Mosque
5429259260_8bf08e4ed3_z.jpg

The significance of this mosque is that it is funded by the late PM Rafiq Hariri, whom is also buried inside
the mosque. The architecture of the mosque has Ottoman influence, hence looked a bit like the Blue Mosque in Turkey.
This shot is taken handheld so not very sharp.

#27 Interior of Mohammad Al-Amin Mosque

This is the interior of the mosque. Everything is huge and high, very impressive.
I don't know how to take a photo of such huge interior. This is already 17mm on FF, can only cover so much.
