Nice friendly helpful freelance repair man

had my nikon 60mm macro lens cleaned by david, but sad to say part of the lens was not able to be clean as it was a sealed element. all is not lost thou, david did a god job cleaning the rest of the lens elements and now my lens looks much better and usable.

Brought my camera to NSC for VF and CCD cleaning. Was quoted SGD$160 and decide to proceed with cleaning. However, upon collection, found that VF still has dusts and CCD remains to be infected with dust. Fortunately, service centre staff Ruby offered to waive all charges as cleaning was not done properly by technician. From then, i wonder if NSC can't do a good job, who else can.

Knew David through CS and contacted him for cleaning. He was very efficient and my camera was ready within 1 night. He had removed all dusts on my CCD and advised me to ignore the dust in VF as it involves risk in dismantling the entire D200.

After David's maintenance, camera is in tip-top condition. For those who have lost faith in xSC, I strongly recommend David as repairing is his passion whilst staffs at xSC may be monetary motivated.

2. How to fix stuck zoom
3. Basic steps in assembly/disassembly of the lens
4. How to disassemble and assemble the SWM
5. DOs and DON'Ts on lens cleaning
