Let's postpone it to 2 Feb, Another guy could not make it on 26 Jan.

Hi David,

I'm interested! Is the session confirmed?

Anybody interested on how to dismantle a Nikon 18 to 70mm (D70/D70S kit lens)?
I am planning to conduct one at a minimum fee($15 to $20, depending on No. of participants)

You will learn:
1. How to remove the dust/fungus on the innermost part of the lens
2. How to fix stuck zoom
3. Basic steps in assembly/disassembly of the lens
4. How to disassemble and assemble the SWM
5. DOs and DON'Ts on lens cleaning

Upz...

Dude, one more with the 18-70 problem. I'm referring him to you. ;)

I would like to know more on lens construction etc. I note the possible date is now 2 Feb. How long do you think the session is going to be?

Huggable would like to see if he can purchase some rubber dust cover around the lens mount for the 18-70, and retro-fit unto other Nikon lenses for dust protection!

Of course, learning the lens/electronics design, and pick up some DIY skills is the main objective.

Please start a new thread as this thread is getting too long. Help to do some house keeping by close old long thread and open a new one. Thank You
