Thank you very much for those who trusted me.
Special thanks to those who gave their compliments

I'm sorry but I am considering to closed this thread and to downscale(or discontinue) this part-time service.

Just need to complete those I have accepted and those who had prior arrangement.

hey bro ...

keen to start a coaching service for us users to maintain our own lenses? Instead of seeing us being fleece off by XSCs?

I am keen to sign up ... :)

Your lens has some elements which are sealed. If there's fungus it it, the only option is to replace the affected part. Please check for fungus first, if it's clean, then it's worth fixing.

I decided to keep this thread open and give advise instead.
Planning to do some step by step procedure on how to clean/fix common problems.

As for the service, I'm considering to continue but only on a limited number jobs peer week.
(will be accepting only those simple jobs and not so expensive gears)

I gave him a lens at 10pm last night, he fixed it by 10am this morning.

Thanks alot!

lovely guy. nice to talk to and of course hee gets the job done at a VERY reasonable price.

bro, will try to contact soon when i have more time. my mum just asked me to help her get some repairs done on her old yashica cam. from what she described, i think it's a problem with her motor drive. it always get stuck after a few shots according to her.

Thank you chanjyj for your compliments. But I think you will get me into trouble.
There are a few guys who passed me their lens earlier and I have not fixed them yet.

I prioritize your lens because you have asked this request much earlier.
And also, yours is simply removing the dust. And besides, I don't feel comfortable
keeping an expensive lens. Fix you lens ASAP.

Oops. Sorry :( :embrass:  :mad2:

Fastigue, perhaps instead of discontinuing your services altogether, you could set a quota - say X number of items per month? Those who write-in first gets priority, and those outside the list will have an estimated waiting time? Then it's up to them if they want to wait or not.

That way you still have time to take care of family matters/job/leisure and still be able to provide a much valued service to CS? ;););)

You could also consicder charging a little more - for your standard of service, I am sure that none of use would mind paying for your quality of service ... right guys?

Okie, okie, contact me at 98151974.

But no rush job please. It's been raining the whole day and humidity is so bad.

I'm back and no longer closing this thread. Thanks for all the encouragement.

Will proceed with lens cleaning lessons as well and will prepare special tools for those who are interested.
