While picking up the GF-1s. Anybody know if the 7-14 is available as a local unit? I'm off travelling in a few days, this lens will be nice to have.

7-14mm is the fisheye lens? price is steep. buy from good service saleman lah...dont like "old dog" attitude too.

nope, it's wide-angle lens that allow u to capture awesome picture of a scene with wide coverage in near distance.

like those photography magazine their cover often put these awesome landscape pic, from near bottom rocks to far away mountain and high above sky in one shot~:thumbsup:

Went to AP today, only black available with 20mm,but can buy 14-45mm for just $200.:)

there were quite a few sets yesterday with choices of colors.. i guess they move fast....
good camera.. 20mm lens shoots well in low lighting.. but it's a 40mm (equiv of 35mm)..so not that wide.

anyone have any idea where to get Nikon mount adapter for GF1 in sg?

i am pretty new with this dslr thing. i own a pana digital point and shoot with a fairly good zoom. am pretty happy with it for quite some time now. i wanted to give myself a christmas present so was thinking of getting this gf-1. i am just not sure about this lens thing though. i read somewhere that a 20mm is equiv to 40mm in 35mm film world. i want to buy a lens that is pretty much the same telephoto as what a fz28 offers, what lens should i be looking out for for the gf1?

on another point, i was kinda surprise with the 1499 price point of the gf1 pancake kit, i've read some where that the traditional dslr offers mid-range products at these price points. so before you flame me, if you did not buy the gf1, which camera would you have bought in its place?

I never consider any camera before m4/3 system.
Traditional DSLR is too bulky for me.
PnS quality did not up to my expectation.
And I prefer to shoot with my handy iPhone cam instead.

BUT, the m4/3 get many of my attention as I known it from PCM Mag.
It able to deliver dSLR quality images in compact size at both body & lens.
Best of all, due to smaller m4/3 mount, he can play with any kind of lens with adapter!

I choose GF1 coz I prefer modern design and the direct m4/3 lens availability from Panasonic.

The price may be expensive for someone, as in this price you can get almost 2 Sony DSLR kit sets alrdy. Maybe we should think of it's expensive as in the latest tech(bulk to compact) provided by them ;)

Try Chiif Camera on 2nd floor of Excelsior or google his website. Many of the 2nd hand dealers around Peninsula e.g. P&G also sell them.

Hi, i've just purchase the EVF for GF1 and have a question which i hope the gurus here can help?

After i take pictures using the EVF, i have to press a button on the EVF to toggle between the LCD and EVF so as to view the taken pictures.

Is there a way the GF1 can auto preview the taken pictures on the LCD immediately after taking photos without have to press any button?

can't wait to see how it performs with the nikon 17-35mm f/2.8 when i get home.

From what I'd read from a website also did indicate about this issue too, for the time being, it's either EVF/LCD and I read that the EVF is actually exactly as same as LCD rite?:dunno:

Perhaps future firmware update will improve it's functionality.
