hey anyone have experience with Vanguard bag?

I am looking at their uprise 48... feel quite good. any opinion on this?

Will you guys mind advising on what crumpler bag to get? I was deciding between 4 million or 5 million dollar home ...

Contents to put:
LX3 with adapter tube, lens hood, usb cable, battery charger, 2 filters (with case), gorillapod original, shutter release cable. may have plan to buy macro filter too.

I was also considering if next time ever upgrade to dslr, 5 million will be better. However, as a girl, i not sure if 5 million will be too heavy for me (dont want to have lopsided shoulders :P). For 4 million, enough to put all those stuff I listed? (small enough to bring along shooting)

Appreciate all the help I can get.

谢谢各位!

I think it is quite cool for a girl to carry Billingham bag... consider L2? but the price is way much diff.

Sorry I am posting when thinking of girl holding a billingham bag! I saw girl carrying crumpler so I find it too common.

But if u ever consider upgrading to DSLR then get 5MDH then. otherwise u might end up buying additional bag after getting a DSLR.

currently owned a Kata DR466... aiming to buy a hadley original :bsmilie:

any hadley original bag owners here? want to check... if put 1 450D body + 1 lens (18-200mm)... still got enough space to fit a 12" laptop? cos i find hadley pro too big for me. :)

How's the 466? I'm tempted to get a 466 or 467. Is there a reason why you didn't get the 467 instead?

Why do i have a feeling that a billingham bag is going to blow my budget way over the hill? :P

Haha because it is. With regards to the weight issue, it'll only be as heavy as you intend to pack it. Honestly, I don't see a need to pack a battery charger and USB cable on regular outings. I'd only pack a charger if I was travelling.

While such things are insignificant and do not weigh much, they still take up space, and can limit your packing.

ohh cos 467 is slightly taller and bigger. My laptop only 12" inch so 466 just nice. 467 is for those using laptop that is 15" and above. i dun want my backpack to look too big also. :)

i ordered my from amazon and ship by vpost USA. If you want to order, rem to inform amazon to pack the bag compactly... cos they pack my bag until so big that it costs me $80+ SGD just for shipping! So i kicked a ruckus with amazon and they refunded me $60+ usd. ;p

u stay in clementi? if so, if u want next time we can meet up i can show u the bag. :)

Haha. I'll think about it first la. Have way too many bags. Tsk. :bsmilie:

How much does a Billingham or Domke cost, say for something that could fit a D700 with grip, and a 24-70 + a prime + flash

depends how big you want...some models can buy a lens or even another dslr. check out amazon for an idea of prices.

I thought I was the only one with this obsession... feel the guilt everytime I succumb to the temptation but well, makes me feel better that I'm not alone :bsmilie:

Also makes me feel better that any one of my wife's handbags cost more than the whole lot of bags here...
--snip--

Hahaha... so so true!!

It is actually consider a premium camera bag.

just saw their website and yes... Billingham looks way cool, really like LV of camera bags... but frankly, i travel to third world countries a lot... I'll pass that to avoid getting robbed... :)

thanks all folks for contributing to this thread... i had learned a lot about camera bags today...
