Haha , true. There's so many buttons I somehow feel like a kid thrown into a candy house. So much to eat but unable to eat all.

Wow, meaning instead if 12-40 lens, you got a kit instead?

'See see and wait' approach?

Just want to share that South Asia Computer at Level 3 Funan is selling the loose pack Olympus BLN-1 for $49.
They claimed that they are original batteries, but without retail packaging.
I bought 1 myself, but haven't charge it yet

At first the SA quoted me $69, but when we went to the counter to pay, the cashier told us that it is further discounted to $49.
The price tag on the plastic bag also shown $49.

Other shops quoted me the retail pack battery at $8x.

$2830 is what I paid for my pre-order kit, with freebies from Olympus some more....
Maybe can give a call to the usual shops at AMK or Holland V?

Cathay $2779 credit card for kit...

Asian Stock availability report :

For those who have not pre-ordered and wants to get the camera before Christmas or school holidays season, Hong Kong stockists have them in stock, and the best news is, there are two free gift packs to choose from if you are ordering kit sets. Either a free (set 1) 40-150mm f4.0-5.6 or (set 2) MMF3+Battery+500GB WD 2.5" portable harddisk. Easily redeemable at the Olympus office with original invoice and the freebies card.

Shall not mention prices as it varies greatly. Call your fav HK dealer for more details in pricing, though surprisingly, the "regular" guys Tin Cheung, Wing Sheng, have no stock. So don't bother to look at Mongkok area. Sells like hot cakes. Met a couple of guys shooting the E-M1 with ZD lens. They were all happy with the performance of the E-M1.

E-M1 is also available at three shops in Taipei (Bo Ai Road). Checked for stock and their prices are similar to Singapore, but no further mention of the freebies (easily Googled) but you don't have to wait until Jan when Singapore replenishes stock.

China

I am going HK next week. Any idea if the freebie can be redeemed at the shop or must go to the olympus office in HK? Also, does olympus offer international warranty for both lens and body?

By all rights should be at the Oly office in HK according to my dealer.

Oly provides international warranty for body and lenses unlike Pana.

Thanks Keith! Will go and try my luck then!

Bought the EM1 from Cathay yesterday. The lens is heavy and I think the only Oly body that can hold it is the EM1. You won't be able to hold it with the EP5 or even the EM5 and the lens will also tilt forward. First impression wasn't good as the size and weight reminds me of the reason why I ditch the DSLR. No choice as that's the only fast Oly zoom lens now. EVF and IQ are of course no horse run. Just wondering whether I will end up using a compact with a fast lens instead of this if I'm going on a trip......haha
