I like the "F" word. For the fun of it, some one did a Pen F design he thought should have been.

Am I the only one that feels 1798 is overpriced? I'm a huge oly fanboy but that price...
Looks similar to em5 mk ii. Just use those half sized plate for mft
Some initial thoughts.....
First of all, I like the looks of the Pen-F.
After using 6 Olympus cameras, I still cannot get used to the menu interface. It's a pain and it doesn't help when the last time I handled an Olympus camera was more than a year ago! I took 30 mins to figure out how to change the recording mode before I finally gave up and worked backwards. I only found it when I assigned the function to a dedicated button. Olympus had represented recording mode with a symbol!! Come on! I then spent the rest of the night setting up the camera.
Did I mention I like the looks of the Pen-F?
The Pen-F seemed like it was designed for JPEG centric shooters with a good number of dials dedicated to in-camera effects control. I am not a natural JPEG shooter but since I don't have to dig deep into the much hated menu for these controls and ACR has no support for RAW for now, I might just shoot JPEG more often.
Love the looks of the Pen-F.
I like it that the camera is highly customisable but it could also means difficult decisions to make on how you want to customise it. I can't say it was fun setting up the camera but I did it and it satisfies 90% of my usual needs without digging into the menu.
The Pen-F looks fantastic!
The camera handles quite nicely. Would love to get the optional grip though since it's also Arca Swiss compatible. Haven't had time to try out the Hi Res mode yet. Maybe next weekend.
Did I mention the Pen-F looks great?

Any of you folks see stitching artefacts in hi res files? I haven't seen any yet.
Do u mean movements to non stationary objects?
I understand how you feel about the menus. I can generally get things set very quickly, but with version 4 firmware upgrade for E-M1, I had to search the little gear A-K menus for a few settings and it was almost painful. Other brands aren't really better, but just different.
I wish I liked the Pen F but that dial in front seems to be in the way. It's great to photograph, but the GX8 seems a better device to use.
