Nice photo, small question: is that shot in nature or in room?

Thks. I guess none of the above.

The macro shot is of my mum's newly bought plant placed along the corridor wall outside my HDB flat.

Those buds grow up to resemble "fishes":

I am pretty proud to see more and more contributions from the folks in the community, especially those who have just picked up photography not too long ago, and your photos are getting better and better... keep sharing... and for the sake of everyone in here, I would like to implement the following when posting future images for that everyone can understand better, and if possible, a little write up behind the shot if you are keen to share:

example - Took this shot during the sunset, but due to the angle of the light hitting my subject, I had to drive around the block to get the best angle. Used a tripod as I wanted to have more depth of field, and closed down the aperture to f16, meaning I had a really slow shutter speed of 1/2 second. Post processing - tweaked on curves and colour saturation in Photoshop Elements, cropped and sharpened a little to compensate for resizing causing drop in resolution.

hi Some white... Sorry i am pretty bad in shooting indoor apartment and light control please bear with these badly shot...

Maybe the best view in SG from apartment

All picture using E510 with 14-42mm kit lens.

Taken with E-510 & Zuiko ED 7-14mm Lens @ f8, 1/400s and ISO 200.

This shot was taken during my 2nd Oly E-xperience Workshop on Travel.
Instructor Kim Lau was kind enough to let me 'play' with this AWESOME piece of exotic glass on the conditions that I would have to shoot him conducting the workshop with the newbie photographers.

As luck would have it, on our stroll from the Singapore River to St. Andrew's Cathedral, while I was walking and fiddling with the lens and cam setting and at the same time trying to catch up with the rest, I saw a red scooter at the left corner of my eye throttling down the lane, intuitively I raised the camera to my eye to snap it, unfortunately the bottom framing was cropped off.

Well the rest is History! :(........where can I find another red scooter like this again?

Taken with E-510 & 14-42mm kit lens @ f16, 1/160s and ISO 100.

As you can see I think I'm more comfortable shooting with the kit lens than with the 7-14mm lens as it was my first time handling the 'Ultra Wide Angle' perspective view.
It certainly requires lots of patience and practices in order to tame the huge and heavy bulging glasses.....

Taken with E-510 & 14-42mm kit lens @ f11, 1/250s and ISO 200.

Tweaked the 'Shadow/Highlight' on the adjustment layer to bring up some details of the darker areas out.

Taken with E-510 & 14-42mm kit lens @ f11, 13s ISO 400 on tripod and IR filter.

Cross Processing with Red and Blue channel on the Adjustment Layers.

Lens Used : 7-14mm
Comments: These shots were taken in the morning, initially my intention was to take the sunrise, however the sky was too cloudy. Therefore I changed my mind to take the reflection in the glassy surfaces. Only cropping and slight colour adjustment were done on the jpg from the camera.
