ok silly question, I'm having problems attaching the lens hood to the lens...cant seem to click or have it screwed on anywhere. Can anyone help please? Thank you

I dont have the 25mm but I believe the design is same as 45mm. You have to remove the top cover ring to attach the hood

erm....i think, settle down first There is always no hurry to buy lenses. Seems like u r considering the O25mm and 12-40mm now, what do you wish have out of your buy? The 12-40/2.8 gives great IQ and if of course much more versatile than the O25 but heavier and bulkier. Is the f1.8 vs f2.8 important? Are u looking for a prime specifically or a zoom or ?

no hurry, think thru first. Money not easy to earn.

1. Remove the protective ring around the lens. U see it directly above the silver segment.

2. Once removed, e ring looks like this at the side. Now without the ring, u will be able to mount the hood.

in case , just in case - u will feel a 'click' when tightening or loosening the hood and ring.

Quite a few ... HN Funan had 2 pieces yesterday. If u drop by Funan, u can definitely try the standard few shops and unless u r buying like 10, I'm sure there should be enough

Silver isn't out though. Only black color out.

I think $1088 is good price for a 12-40mm F2.8. Brand new? with full box?
If I were you, I would grab it without hesitation.

I was told by a friend who recently bought this somewhere in peninsula. Could be Cathay photo or Alan photo. I'll double check once he's back as he's currently overseas but definitely it's better to buy at the shops now rather in BNS threads

Reverse fit ah... Yes u can though to me it really looks funny - like a mushroom haha.

Doesn't really work for me as I do a lot of MF so I need the focusing ring unobstructed.
