Hi All,
I am looking for old lens like Vivitar 70-210 f/3.5 MM lens and other old lens, in clubsnap not many of them come up, is there any good shop for recommendation.
Thanks
Right now, as I review my last few shots from my 5D, I am struck by a Doh! moment as I wonder "WTH! did I sell the camera?"
I am sure you will get over the change soon.![]()
The itch was so strong, I got a replacement![]()

Sony A7 or A7r?
Those last frames from the 5D made me realise that I can live with manual focus all the way. Be it moving subjects for streets, my kids and other stuff. I also want to explore some of the other Canon/Nikon/etc stuff. Tried out the A7 in the Sony store and liked it enough. Decided not to wait for a cheaper price.
Lobang king can get cheaper bro

Manual focusing on A7 will be more fun. From my experience, combining both focus peaking and magnification makes it even more accurate than the most accurate AF system. You should customize magnification on a button that you can use without lifting your eye from the EVF. Enjoy and please post your photos here.
Already customized it to the AEL button which is more easily accessed by the thumb.
I find that a lot of the button placements are not that ideal, but since its a MF lenses platform for me, I don't need too many buttons (hopefully...)
Magnification is accurate, but slow, sometimes its not suitable to shoot my kids (works well for other stuff).
I do think the EVF with its high resolution in good light is accurate enough w/o magnification.
The main PITA for now is the default to 1/60 in Av mode.
Hope there will be a firmware fix for this.
Else the workaround will be to be conscious of the shooting conditions and set the ISO manually.
Some other folks seem to be using 'M' mode with auto ISO (but not ideal if ISO is going to hit limits in bright outdoors and/or shade)
Some other niggles, but I am usually pretty acceptable to any camera fault (as long as they can be worked around and does not cause major pain)![]()
Overall, I do think its the closest thing to a digital Oly OM or Pentax ME Super in form factor.
Edit :
Oh yeah..
Make sure the adapter inner surface is dull or DIY with dull paint or gaffer tape.
I found that it can cause internal reflection and flare. (solved with gaffer tape)
Never encountered this issue before with m4/3 and Pentax Q.
With legacy lenses I always shoot in S mode so that I can control shutter. I never shoot auto ISO indoor, only outdoor. When my eye is on the EVF, my thumb will control shutter and magnification. I don't worry much about EV as a little over or under can be fixed later. My left hand will cradle the lens and set aperture if necessary.
Interesting... thanks for sharing the info.
On my 5D, there was no 'suto ISO' at all, and I did fine.
I was just hoping that a newer camera would free me from this.![]()
Anyway, onward with photos and about lenses.....
Kiron 28/2 (otherwise know to be a Vivitar 28/2 of which there are many many variants)
Bokeh is 'acceptable' if its non-busy stuff, but can be harsh with things like leaves and grass.
That seems to improve when stopped down.
Crazy sharp when stopped down to f2.8 and above, but my only sample now was with my wife, which I usually don't share online.
