Very nice pix! Crisp and rich color. Good composition too. Like this one best

Thanks. The female Asian Koel can be very colorful if captured very near with good lighting. This photo was shot less than 20 f33t away on a low cherry tree.

Nice catch!

You shot these from outside your house window?
It seems to be almost same level as you are.

This fellow was roosting on a very low cherry tree and I was about 25 feet away.

Wow!
Posh event...

Nice o/p from the Voigtlander Ultron.

Do you have the 40/2?
I am considering one.

Yeah. Company's D&D, the theme is the Great Gatsby. LOL

I haven't tried the 40/2 but saw some really good shots from it online. I am still sticking to my CV 35/1.7 Ultron. It's a really versatile lens to use. Think I saw someone just posted yesterday selling the 40/2 in BnS.

Hi, long time no see. Never heard of this lens. F3 is interesting, how heavy is it?

Its one of those cult-status lenses by Vivitar. Pretty heavy piece of lens, about 800g. Not good for the little NEX but pretty nice handling on A850. Is pretty sharp wide open if you nail the focus properly, with a bit of glowy edges.

Some other shots I took this morning.

Thanks for the info. Yeah, you're right, too heavy for me. My Pentax M 200f4 is half the weight.

Can anyone share images taken with:
• a digital camera body + legacy Olympus Zuiko 35-80mm f/2.8 ED

I did a quick shot out of window using A7 + 35-80/2.8. The bokeh is very nice and the optics are top notch. However, mechanically it is a fragile lens.

Nice Bokeh.
From the picts I've seen so far, most lenses seem so overly long on the A7....
They did not seem so when on their native cameras (and I'm talking about Oly OM, Pentax ME, etc )
Interesting how just a little bit thicker camera body and the additional flange thickness adds up aesthetically.
Nothing to do with camera working with the lenses of course...

How does it handle? (ie. the camera)

I am a basic shooter, just focus and press button. I have yet to dive into other features. When paired with small primes, it is a joy to hold, very lightweight. All the electronic super imposed features are there - leveller, grid, peaking, etc. The EVF is quite bright even when ambience is not so easy to compose. The DR is also impressive. My only dislike now is cannot set LCD to only come on upon play and review only. Overall experience is a step up from Canon 5D2.

40mm f2 ultron SL2?
Just saw a wedding photographer using it during my friend's wedding last week.
Output should be better than pentax da 40 limited/da 40 xs, i believe
Chiif still selling the pentax KA mount?

I found one in the rarer m42 mount.
The plus is that I can use it on 5D.
The minus is that if Pentax makes a FF next year, then I prefer the exif data and open aperture metering of the k-version.

Last dilemma is that I already have 40xs and 43ltd.

Thanks for sharing your inputs.
Its says a lot if you find it more positive over 5Dii.

The best place to buy Sony A7 is BnS. There are already a few less than 1 month old units for sale with freebies. :)
