Most of your legacy Pentax lenses should do very well on the Sony A7/r especially with you behind the camera. Where on earth did you find this Takumar 100f2?

Confirmed. Tested d Pentax 135/2.8, 35/2.8, 35/3.5. All performed amazingly well on d A7. Cheers.

If you are interested in a 135mm portrait lens, the Pentax K 135f2.5 is really outstanding at a very affordable price. Which Pentax 135f2.8 did you test, M42 or Pentax K mount with prefix K, M or A?

Oopz. I mean 135/2.5. I've tested bro overworked's copy. Very sharp

For me, $2K is a bit expensive for a 'play-play' camera that will only be used for MF.
I got '0' interest in the native FF A mount lenses at those prices, speed, size.
Not to mention the AF/handling compared to a fully fleshed out DSLR.

I will wait for it to drop to about $1.5K as a personally 'acceptable' price.

The 5D works well enough for playing around.
Its more forgiving of focus errors and subject movements and often, the subject matter I use it on (ie. people/candids/odd & ends) don't go to print anyway, which makes needing more pixels unnecessary.
Not to mention the faster response time of the prism over EVF.
Hard to sell off anyway. :D

There is a M135/2.8 (very small with a nice built in hood) and an A135/2.8.
There seldom is a bad 135mm on most brands, even 3rd party ones (like the is no real bad 50mm and 85mm) :D

The Minolta 58/1.2 looks good.
Pleasant OOF rendering for linear stuff, which not all lenses can do.

Yes it's an amazing lens from bro overworked, he is selling it in BnS if u r interested? Just completed my purchase of the SMC Pentax K 135/2.5 & Minolta Rokkor MC 58/1.2 in eBay yesterday. Hope to receive these 2 lenses by end of the month. Can't wait to use these lenses...

After using the Sony NEX for 2 years, I will never ever go back to DSLR. I find totally no lag on my NEX 5N with EVF. Manual focusing is a real joy and actually more accurate than AF.

Wow!
Posh event...

Nice o/p from the Voigtlander Ultron.

Do you have the 40/2?
I am considering one.
