Did a mod on my CZ Planar F2 100mm to use on the 5D.Like to share a link
of a crop & resize image and the original image shot @ Raffles City.
Using Tagotec's AF confirmation adapter @ F2.8 for the shots.

That's why I love Carl Zeiss lens and now with the 5D the lens potential are fully
utilised once again.

Wow. This legendary lens surely lives up to its reputation. So you finally took the guts to remove the lens' tail? You will not regret.

Can do a CZ 100 @ f2. The 85/1.4 is slightly soft wide open. I read that the 100/2 is sharp wide open and would like to see how different the OoF of the 100 @ f2 and the 85 @ f2. The 2 focal length are too close to need both.

If Zeisser and I can get together, we can possibly try out both lenses in a simple shootout for the fun of it.

Thanks for sharing. All alternate lenses, especially the old legacy lenses are welcome here and all are just as good. The fantastic thing about these lenses is that they all have very different character. I like your photo of the Pancola 50f1.8.

hey, i havent really shot with it yet cos got a bunch of exams and tests to study for, but here's the lens itself, next to my other converted 135 f2.8:

5395168211_275140bfdf_b.jpg

how's the 400? i considered moding the 300 4.5, but in the end managed to get a nikon for cheap. did you mod yourself?

i ve found the MC rokkors to be v nice. also had converted the 35 2.8 and they ve all been really good.

I come SG to study :") I leave it at home, in Vietnam. Generrally, the Minolta 400mm/5.6 is ok. U can see:

and

I can mod, from Pentax K to M42 or against, FD to OES. But, Minolta is very difficult to mod. I asked my uncle (friend) do Min 400/5.6.
^^~

not bad.. this is wide open? so far i ve done m42, FD, MD, OM, and Fujica-X to nikon F, and FD to EOS. minoltas are difficult. i really want to try some konica AR lenses, but those have an even shorter flange distance(40.5mm i think) so way too much. any other lenses you ve converted that are good?

Yes, It was taken @5.6.
I have some Vietnamese document, about how to mod other lens to EOS. I do not know many about the technical terms. This article tell how to mod.

Im really sorry, i cant trans this to English. You must find someone know both Vietname/English and Photography.

I try:
- Take off the mount Konika > use the M42 to EOS mount, make it fit the lens (you want to mod), about 5mm
- Must mod the aperture
- Take off 2 screws of the aperture.
- Grind aperture a litter.
"vì nó mỏng và sát mount body nên khoan lỗ nhỏ đối xứng gắn 2 cát bát hoặc 2 con vít nhỏ dài để chỉnh khẩu cho dễ." << i cant trans this :"D. Its about "drill and make 2 screws of the aperture"
- Join, try to focus infonity. If not, make the screws tight or less.

:"D

Ok, it seems a bit messy. Tried on google translator and get very funny translation:

- Remove the wool ass, take the M42 mount => EOS diameter of the means by ass up, then ride off the outer layer also 5zem ring.
- The mechanism must be re-export, remove the two screws to get the tiles to adjust to import get back to more simple solution, set within a long piece of plastic goods available, the This look is sure doctors know.
- Lacquer thinner gate ring back tune with a new mount or slightly thinner than bit. because it is so thin and close to body mount holes drilled symmetrically mounted two sand bowl or two small screws to adjust the length for easy export.
- Temporary complete assembly is finished, before opening up and then tied up loose screws rotating machine rolled screw things about infinity tube ok again. finished.
