most probably. If anything happens to the set I wonder what they will do to the camera and how they will attempt to fix it.
They being parallel importers will likely do the parts replacement/repairs through a third party repair shop (assuming that they do honor their warranty). It's all about cutting the bottom line for all businesses end of the day.
Actually SG prices are indeed forced to be higher than some our neighbors (take GST for one) and as a result , Fujifilm SG has made sure to be competitive by bundling in accessories for equity.
For example the X70 here's around $10xx comes with the filter set and batt worth around $200 (and this is not counting the other gifts like cards, cases etc). Go Malaysia it's around RM2900 body alone , basically the same price.
I'm not defending them but sometimes it's better to see the whole pic rather than just the price figures. It's not cheap to fix a camera when it dies and yes, I'll want proper warranty

if your Hk set has intl warranty then ok, but if Hk set no intl warranty, isn't a local grey set with shop warranty better?
different pricing strategy, but frankly, most people look at just the bottom line pricing, and if price gap is big enough, the freebies don't really matter

last i checked SG local set selling by $2659, lets say $379 different only but local give u 1 extra battery , 1 original gift and the good memory card these 3 combine worth more than $200 already
just get local fujifilm set still far more worth it

how much is the xpro2 retailing in singapore. Saw fujifilm promo, it's retailing at $2799 but i believe authorised dealers will be selling at a slightly lower price, correct me if i'm wrong. Experienced it from buying an X-T1..
it's called street price. Do call up the shops and inquire as they differ slightly.since i assumed that i won't be able to get my hands on XT2 so soon, but really wanted to get try the 'magic' of fujifilm -- i finally got an XPRO2 yesterday. the images are more organic/natural than my previous system. the post-processing is shorter and very basic for the raw (raf) files. and that shutter sound! i'm definitely a fan. i can see myself using this camera more often (and accumulate more lenses!).
the information from this subforum was very useful and the images shared were outstanding. i hope i'd be able to contribute.
