[Official] X-Pro 2 Thread : The Pro Returns

Is it heavier ... Maybe it looks light for it size.. Or maybe it give a leica m5 feel without the weight lol. I am looking forward to x200 but heard the lens will not be 35 mm ... Hmm and I guess all current converter from x100 won't work that is why ppl throw them at dirt price now

Don't anyhow listen to people , listen to the right persons more important ;)

35 and 50 are the classic FL ,
I'm sure Fujifilm knows

I got to have a hands on with the x-pro2 and the 35mm f2 glued to the camera on the first day of the show. I like the size and weight, one thing that puts me off the mp240 other than the digital file was the weight seems to be too much without a proper grip. Hence ergonomics on the leicas digital has always felt wrong even with the m262. The x-pro despite not having the same dense built and slightly larger size, felt more like a leica philosophically speaking. It has a nicer grip, minimal interference in the hybrid OVF. The camera doesn't get in the way of shooting, which to me is most important. I think mirrorless cameras in this day and age, no longer needs "F8 and be there", because they are all so quick. I can't help to whine a little about the lock on the shutter dial. It is not necessary, because it is not at a location prone to accidental swipes especially if you consider the many generations of leicas. As someone who manipulate motion in stills, I wish the lock isn't there. Is there a way to disable the lock? I will seriously consider this option once there is a 23mm f2 WR lens. Maybe I am nitpicking, but I hope it's better built than the 35mm wr, and I am sure people will pay for it.

Your last sentence is right , and it will be priced way more reasonably that u expect

Sounds like it is in the pipe line?
If the size is like the 18 f2.. With focus and apecture ring ... I will get one for sure.

Quick question - Has anyone experienced this with their Xpro2?

On the first day i got it, i was out shooting and got an error message asking me to " turn off the camera and then on again".

Did that and all was good.

Today i was out shooting and the same error message popped out, again turned the camera on and off and it acted normally again.

I can't seem to replicate the issue and it doesn't seem to be interfering with anything else.

At both times i had different lenses on (27mm and 23mm).

How very odd.

The Xpro 2 is incredibly high resolution. At 100 percent I cam still see all the details.OMG.

No, have not encounter the problem you have.

At 400mm FL, f5.6

For those who shoot RAW, there is a way you can apply Fuji's film settings in Lightroom.
In the Develop module, under Camera Calibration, you can choose your film settings from the PROFILE drop-down menu.

Some examples (Both images shot with Fuji X-Pro2, with Fuji 35mm f2.0):

Shot in RAW. With Velvia Profile applied in Lightroom

Shot in RAW. With Acros Profile applied in Lightroom

You can add 'grain' to taste.

Thanks for sharing this tip ;)

All the film sims are available this way to Fuji raw files in LR.

Another alternative I do is I shoot Raw+JPEG and do in camera editing to the raw files to apply the preferred film sims / grain to the files and just output another JPEG.

I realized that LR does not have all the Fuji lens profile. Strangely, all other brands are there except Fuji. Is it happenning to just my LR? Mine upgraded to the LR Raw 9.5.

All lenses are in camera corrected. There are no Fujifilm lens profile (Except X100 series) in Lightroom or Photoshop Camera Raw.

Hi, just got the XPRO 2 and wanted to get a small flash for it. Thinking of the EF-X20 because of good size. I am going to Japan in April. Is it cheaper to get it over in Japan? Appreciate any advice. Thank you.

Hi , chances are it will be cheaper in Japan. But note that Japan domestic sets aren't covered by warranty in SG.

Went to Funan and including Cathay at peninsula... No stock. Anyone here got place that have come across stock?

As shared, a shortage of stocks after fulfilling the pre-orders and It show was expected :) u can also try leaving your contact at TK Foto or SLR. , prob a few more weeks for the next shipment.

And yes, I heard someone saying there's a firmware update coming very soon too.

Hi guys!

Would like to seek out your expert opinions. I'm thoroughly convinced that I should get the X-pro 2 when the stocks are in. However, I'm abit lost as to what lenses I should get as this is my first time getting a mirrorless camera. I tend to take mostly portraits with some landscapes here and there. Any recommendations? Furthermore, i've read that we can use a mount that enables us to use a Nikkor lens. Do you reckon that is a good idea or am I better off sticking to Fuji lenses only. I have with me a 35mm 1.8G Nikkor lens that I am reluctant to part with. Thanks in advance yup!!!:)
