[Official] X-Pro 2 Thread : The Pro Returns

Happened to be at a particular Funan shop and saw a few names on the preorder list which requires $200 deposit.

U may ask around... Some shops might give away their own freebies and lower or no deposit like the pre orders for xt10.. But nothing fanciful.. Maybe extra sd card or bag...

bro, diff ppl got diff price tolerance level....
Fuji markets xpro range as their highest end model, therefore its not expected to be cheap at least at launch.....
I believe many of us like yourself will like to own one but perhaps is turned off by the asking price... the 100-400 @ 3k? that's like 2 times Nikon's 200-500.... i too were shaking my head when i saw the price...

I think the offer for 100-400 is actually the most attractive of the lot despite the "offer" being a few hundred higher than MRRP in the US because the teleconverter is thrown in for free.

You can always sign up for the launch event , try a actual sample ; read up all reviews being written and have a more positive mindset towards that early production samples may have flaws lol.

Early production samples having flaws is fairly common on complex products like cameras; just a matter of severity and if enough users notice the problem. Nikon has quite a few well documented cases that are serious enough for recall. Poor tactile feel on XT-1's D-pad was only rectified in later batches.

Fujifilm's flagships are still made in Japan, while the mid tier or lower models are spread out across Asia for countries of manufacture.
yup... I was just amused by the tweet saying hand made in Japan..

Pretty interesting write up here
Quite disappointed with the lack of 4K video in the flagship

Nice series of pics....

Iso 6400 looks good now... Probably the best apsc sensor now in this department... Wonder how close it is to current batch of ff sensors... Can't wait for more comparison and of cos the xt2...

For me is the x70... If u compare it with their direct competitor grii... Yes it's about 2xx more but u get nicer body with touch tilting screen... Better sensor, faster iq... Not to mention the freebies included and gr u Still need to get ur own external charger.... Oops abit out of topic hee...

2800 for x pro2 is simply too much. Actually many fuji x products feel a bit overpriced

HI Fujifilm Singapore change the free gift to 35mm f2 lah.

Yes.... a lot of us folks also cancel order with local usa online retailers. Well.. exchange rate do make a difference.

Exchange rate affects all manufacturers...The reason fuji xpro2 is much more expensive than Sony A7 II or Nikon D750 can only be from Fujifilm themselves.

Hopefully Fuji Canada won't readjust the price :p
