As I bought my A7R in Australia, so I get a choice of adapters to redeem.
I already have an adapter, so deciding which adapter will be easier to sell if I buy it...
EF Metabones Smart Adapter, or Sony LA-E4? I don't have any Canon or Sony lenses.

Dunno want to get A7 or A7R ?
Dont want to get the 35mm2.8, will cont use SEL lens i have currently in crop mode and wait for 55mm1.8
Or dump all my nex system into Bns ?
Any advice ?

Go for the one with a higher retail value?

I think the only reason to get the A7 is that it has electronic shutter option. Instead of two shutter sounds, you can get it to fire only once. That's the only reason. The other factors IMHO are to the 7R eg. higher MP, better IQ. If you are going to use crop mode, I think better to get the 7R in the short term. If you cannot stand the double shutter sound, then no choice get the 7. BTW the 35 2.8 is highly recommended.

Then go bk there n BBB.

Actually was thinking chiong to buy after work , too bad not enough time. no more off day this month to go there molest the camera n do test leh

I am using a DOF calculator for andriod which is really cool.

However I was asked to input the camera mode, obviously a7 is not inside .

3 choices for Sony:

1. Sony A900-A800
2. Sony a700-a100
3. Sony Nex

I chose Sony Nex...is that correct?

Nope, its not.
Use Sony A900.

Nex is APSC, which affects the DOF calculations.

And what's Sony A800? :bsmilie:

I'm a subscriber to the diglloyd.com website, which is subscription website, but has very detailed tests and the guy is very good and professional. He has received his FE55mm and previously did extensive and detailed tests on the D800E with Otus 1.4. He even makes his own MTF charts, which are very tedious.

His latest comment referring to the A7r/55FE is "Short of a Nikon D800E with the Zeiss Otus 55mm f/1.4, these results are surely unrivalled by any other digital camera on the market in late 2013, regardless of cost."

Does the playstation gift card requires me to actually have a playstation to see the redemption code?

Actually you don't need to have a playstation to buy the gift card. I went through the process and found the following...

1) The lens correction app is only available in the US sony store but not the SG store.
2) The US store will only accept US credit card (I assume so because it rejected my sg card)
3) Paypal is also not an option because it will reject the credit card that is not based in US (Paypal told me that... I hope she's correct)
4) USD10 Redemption card can be purchased from Amazon but Amazon needs a US address... (go figure..) Amazon accepts international credit cards and a code will be accessible from the screen. This code can then be entered into the website for purchase.

Tried the lens correction app and found it to be quite useful for the CV15. I prefer to correct the image before the shot that doing postprocessing later..
1) The magenta fringe can be removed to a certain extent but I have not figured what is the best lens profile setup.. still a noob.
2) The yellow fringe still exist on the top of the frame and this cannot be removed...
3) The app has distortion correction too but still need to figure out how to use this...
4) App can process images in jpg and raw
5) Remote commander is not available.

That's all I can think off.. Quite an adventurous day already. Cheers!

Happy holidays everyone

What is the URL for the A7 app? I logged into the Playmemories website but all I can see is the amount of space I have left, album options, upload a photo section, and other sections related to printing your photos.

Thank you. Now I see it. I have to change the region to US first.

The PlayMemories webpage is different from the PlayMemories Camera Apps website
