Just saw another guy with the A7 at around 1600hrs at City Link. With m - mount adapter, probably a Leica lenses (sorry, not very knowledgeable) with a Leica hood. Very nice on the a7. Not sure if it's one of the Bros here. :)

Now we need to be careful going out with Sonay A7/r in our hand :-) easily spotted and reported :-) btw I just covered the sony logos on my A7 by a black duct tape :-)

Hi,

Just got my A7 - however, as i normally shoot with my M43. This is 1st time using Sony. I would like to seek advise - what flash would anyone recommend to go with A7?

I bought my A7 + extra battery at CP on 26 nov. I was charged $100 for the extra battery. Do you know if CP will refund?

Question....regarding Focus Area>Flexible Spot.

After choosing the size (s/m/or l), I can use the Control Wheel to move to whatever position I want. However if one presses the shuttle to focus, the spot stays there.

To move it again, I have to do the following steps again: Fn>Focus Area>Flexible Spot and it will respond to any new direction.

Is there a better more efficient way?

You can use the C3 button ( Delete button) to position it to centre and adjust again

any interesting hot shoe flash to recommend for the a7r? 50% aesthetic and 50% functional. For night club/bar portrait shots.

just downloaded the Smart Remote App into my A7R.

and now, you can set your camera to Manual Mode and change the settings on the mobile phone.

one thing though, you need to set the shooting parameters through the mode dial. while this was available on the 5T, 5 and 5R, it's possible that it's because it's a hard dial and not a software dial to change the modes.

one limitation: the Picture Effects plus and photo retouch are not available on the 7R. and that's pretty funny

I see many posts bemoaning the unavailability of FE lenses.

Apart from AF capability of FE lenses, is there any reason why FE lenses is good?

To me the chief advantage of A7 is to use legacy manual lenses...for RF users in particular, we don't need AF and we dont need FE lenses

I never bought my A7 to use FE lenses at all. I boughtmy A7 to use legacy lenses......anybody like me?

It depends. If you never consider the use of their native FE lenses at any point in time, then I can only say you are paying a premium for not utilising features such as AF and weather sealing.

Any of you manage to connect the cam to mac computer thru the wifi?
I wanted to install "Wireless Auto Import" on my iMac so i can transfer my photos to iMac thru wifi(i suppose)
i've installed the app but always failed to do the setting.
this error always popup every time i connect the cam to comp: "Cannot find a camera. Check that the camera is connected to the computer with a USB cable."

Premium over what 'other' mirrorless ff?
