I wonder if Taiwan or HK have better pricing and stock availability? Any idea?

Other than A7, the other thing I want to pick up may be some Sony stocks. Seems ripe for the pickings.

I have not been following SNE as I do not invest in consumer electronics stocks. Sony is bleeding in the TV and mobile product markets. The main operating profit is from the insurance business. That's right insurance! Life insurance brought in over USD9.0 billions profit in the last decade. Its consumer electronics lost over USD8.0 billions in the same period. There are shareholders and a hedge fund manager clamouring for Sony to restructure its business.

You don't have to wait long. My inquiry to Sony MY about preorder was redirected to Sony SG. Sony SG informed me the preorder will be from 15 - 26 Nov. However, only free gift is a 16 GB card.

I guess for all pre order, deposit will be needed. Sony center need to place a deposit first.

I was told you can pre-order at any Sony Authorised dealer.

Domestic models in Japanese menu. It cannot be changed. You have to ask for international model. I received an email from the HKG dealer whom I bought my RX100 last year. They will have stock by next week.

Can call Cathay.... they accept Pre-order.... but damn..... the first camera body I know that sell at RRP..... usually expect to less $200 off RRP... :embrass:
