Lenstip just posted some Otus pictures taken with a D3. Here is one at F1.4. Also, a good example of background blur ability of a full frame camera in taking full length body shots. Something near impossible with smaller sensors unless taken from a distance with telephoto.

Sony Taiwan will give extra battery to those who have pre-ordered. Delivery will start later this week. Japanese customers will be able to get their cameras beginning Nov 15. Last year when I was in HKG, I bought the RX100 just after its launch. It was almost 3 weeks later before it was available in SG. If you are willing to pay a premium, check Ebay. A7/A7R are now available from a HKG seller. No word about A7/A7R pre-order from Sony SG, but pre-order for PS4 has started!

You can go down to sony showroom everyday when they just open and ask. They will have spare set for those who ordered but never come collect. Thus if they see you are sincere, they will sell to you.

Other than A7, the other thing I want to pick up may be some Sony stocks. Seems ripe for the pickings.

Photo is a bit of a negative demonstration for Otus. Lots of other brands 50mm F1.4 can do that or better.

Not sure about Nikon, but I'm guessing the R stands for Resolution

Pray tell what you find wrong with the picture? not sharp enough, CA, Viginetting, Distortion?

Agree. It's miserably soft with mediocre contrast . . . and an ugly model to boot. ;p
