Yes that's right. I have bought most of my Sony stuff in Malaysia or Hong Kong. Usually cheaper or earlier availability.

Depends on where you buy it, in Japan they have the ILCE-7R_TKIT which comes with the SEL35F28Z.

The exclusive preview is open only to Singapore residents and permanent residents who are the intended recipients of the e-invite and who have a My Sony Singapore account.
Employees of Sony, their advertising and promotion agencies and their immediate family members and/or those living in the same household of each are not eligible.
Strictly only one registration entry per member is allowed.
Submission of multiple entries will be disqualified.
Registration is based on first-come-first-served basis.
Only successful registrants will be contacted via a confirmation email on 14 November 2013.
