Who would have guessed that... ;) One is just a NEX, the other is a SLR.

BBB the a77II when it's available :)

Not too impressed with watever info I found on the net regarding the a77II. Plus I sold off my A mount system sometime ago.

Maybe the A99II might interest me instead....provided there is a FE to A mount adaptor, which I dont see how it can been done easily.

I don't think there will ever be a FE to A mount adapter as this will involve separate optics in the adapter itself. Just like FD to EF adapters, image quality suffers.

Can be done easily and adapters like that have been done before, they just need a corrective optical element in the light path.

Why are u all discussing this when we know Sony (or any other manufacturer) will not do that because it makes not economic nor technical sense...

You don't know that. If it wouldn't make any sense nobody would have done it before. Still, degrading [and non-degrading ones for macro lenses] adapters to mount lenses from longer flange systems onto shorter flange mounts are available.

Well, E-mount lenses have no aperture ring, no distance scale, manual focuses by wire, fully stopped down when offline (unlike canon), so creating a degrading dumb adapter is out of the question. So u can only create a smart adapter like the metabones. So... Will anyone adapt e.g. SEL50F18 via adapter ($300 + $500+ roughly) over a $100+ SAL50F18 and risk lousier IQ and awkward size plus double IS?

E-mount lenses, as far as the design is concerned, are not meant to be retrofitted.

Sony new flagship store @ 313 has 70200F4 , 2470F4 and couple of A mount lens & LAEA3/4 for trying . A7 + 70200F4 AF slow~

Now wondering how's the beercan compare to FE70-200f4 as we all know beercan is 70-210f4 :-) same focal length minus the steadshot

SEL50F18? I doubt he meant that lens. Anyway, the question wasn't if there is a large market for that.

Wonder who want to mount E/FE lens on A-mount SLT ??
If i m A-mount user i would stay with A lens

E/FE lens + adapter + A mount camera not heavy/uncomfort to hold meh... and ugly too
+ there are 2 different design lens

Ask him, no idea why he even thought about it.

Anyone managed to get rid of the annoying You are using NTSC pop up. I formatted the card completly in Windows and then formatted again in A7 to make sure nothing was there. Still get the pop up. Its not a warning it just states that I am using NTSC mode.

Guess its a Sony firmware fix only but if there is a solution I would like to know. I dont want to shoot in 25p or 50p. I feel 24p and 60p are better formats for videos.
