IMO, don't waste time with this.
CIZ upscales the image and is JPG only.
The JPG quality was not up to my expectations. (esp if ISO just goes up a bit)
To activate CIZ, you'd need to press the 'zoom' button, then change to 1.3x and do that everytime you power on.

If used in RAW, you'd have to gauge the composition to keep away from the vignette areas when you crop.
In the end, its very 'make do'.
YMMV

The only one that this can work well is the 10-18mm as 12-16mm is w/o physical vignette on the EVF so one can compose accordingly.

Manual?? What manual? :D

I am using a A7 too.
CIZ = clear image zoom (you should be able to google it up; quite lengthy to describe it here)
Its JPG only.

Anyway, all this remove baffle thing... its ok if you already have the lenses (like a guy who had NEX stuff) or if really budget constrained.
Only the 10-18mm is worth the trouble, imo.
Otherwise, very 'make do'

Quite true, the only apsc lens I kept was the 10-18. With baffle removed you can even use from 12-18mm without any vignettimg.

The apsc lenses like sigma 19mm 30mm 60mm f2.8 are cheap alternatives if u are willing to do extra work, useful in a pinch and actually v good IQ from sigma on these tiny lenses. but I sold them all after playing for a while.

Might be a stupid qns but how does 1 change the aperture of a 3rd party lens (sony, nikon, pentax.. etc.) with an adapter?

hi bros.. any one uses the LA-EA4 adapter with Sigma A mount lenses??... does the lens AF and OS works using this adapter on E mount bodies??... thanks...

If it is an A mount AF lens and pair with LAEA4, it should work on E mount bodies... There is a lot of bros here using A mount lenses on their A7/R/S via LAEA4 with AF...

At least the Sigma AF ones should work... I cant confirm with other brands... Other bros here who had experiences with them would be able to advise better...

i am using a sigma A mount with LA-EA4 on my sony a7. AF works with no problem. but u will get lesser AF points with the LA-EA4 as compared to a FE mounted lens without using adapter.

including G lens if you buy the right adaptor

for example this one. there is a actual ring for you to turn on the adaptor to change aperture.

Excluding G lens right?

I use this metabones, it works with G lens and is able to control f stop. However, it is gradual or continuous difficult to determine which f stop you are at. ha ha.
