Nice shot!
I was damn tempted to borrow a cam and shoot it from inside PLAB as it taxied pass the terminal for takeoff.. Trust me, the view from inside the base is damn nice. You're just 20 M away from the planes.![]()
a terminal inside PLAB?

One more...The following photos are my first attempt at night time aviation photography, comments and critiques are very much welcome and appreciated.

Drove my mum to catch a late night / early morning flight before proceeding CBP to watch her flight take off from RWY 02L hopefully and was still setting up the tripod and remote timer when the aircraft started rolling. This would explain the uncompleted trail of the aircraft anti-collision and navigation beacons at the start, the trail at the background is that of another aircraft landing.
Surprisingly, there are still quite a few couples in their cars at 0400 - 0500 hours.

Both photos taken with bulb exposure (30+ seconds) at f/13 with custom WB.

BTW most of the glass panels of the viewing mall at T1 are now temporary covered up, seems like the transit mall is being extended in a manner similar to T2 and T3. :dunno: Might be the last chance for the public to have an unobstructed view of the airport apron.
You should really go outdoor, to Changi beach etc. etc. instead of restricting yourself to T1. You have good gears make best use of it. ;pNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
my fav. camping ground for snapping
Orion wat lenses yoo used for those shots???
Hehe i love the last shot .. best
perhaps its jus cause its taken from t1 :X

Those photos are shot with the EF-S 55-250mm f/4.0-5.6, I have some other telezoom lens as well but I do not love lugging heavy lenses everywhere unless it's some special occasion.![]()
If the sun is behind the aircraft, your subject might be underexposed due to backlighting. You can either move to another position or try using the partial/center weighted metering mode to take an exposure reading from the body of the aircraft instead.I do shoot outdoors at changi beach
but i seldom post them online, cause i alwys hav trouble getting the right exposure. Most of the time the plane is dark. Perhaps till i get my exposure right, den i'll strt posting outdoor pics. But i'm open to any advices

Will take note of this and thanks for the feedback.Try not to take pics from behind the glass panels because they present a blue greenish tint.
I couldn't figure if I should set the appropriate WB towards the cooler or warmer temperatures. Under such condition whereby the environment is being illuminated by sodium-vapour lamps, what is the WB correction that you will typically set to? I had reset the WB of the previous shots back to tungsten (shot setting), also re-cropped and removed the lens flare in some of the images.Your night photos have sharpness but the white balance is off. I would prefer to see the actual orange lights. And sadly, the haze has reduced contrast.
there should be quite some of us lurking around here and various small pockets at east coast beach.
here's my take:
