[Official] Fujifilm X-T2 thread : delivering Creative Perfection to you

Sorry I need to rephrase the question: should I go for A7II or wait for X-T2. Anyway I am asking for someone.

Doesnt matter you asking or you asking for someone

To answer your question above.
If you can wait. Then wait for XT-2. Try both camera. See which you prefer and buy the 1 you or your friend like more. If not. Buy both.

Cant go wrong with any of the above 2 camera anyways. Its only up to you.

Both systems have advantages and disadvantages .. It is really down to individual preference

in internet, ask for someone = ask for yourself de :D

anyway, jokes aside, i know i'm in a fuji group and i shouldn't say this, but the A7R2 is on a totally different league den a XT2. One is full frame and one is crop sensor, no matter how good their sensor is, i (personally) don't see them defying physics of a bigger sensor. My older A7R has amazing dynamic range which allows me to shoot single raw and pull back the highlights and shadows at total ease.

but what i wanna add on is this, how much of the a7r2 can you utilize? i have seen many people buying a a7r2 and shooting pictures that's almost like my X70. With the huge megapixels, processing single files or generating panoramas can take a huge toll on your computer. Sony lens are not known to be cheap too.

take in mind though, unless you are a professional who shoots images to be printed on huge posters, the Fuji XT1 would already have more than enough specs for you to utilize for your instagrams and normal posters printing. (i'm using XT1 as a baseline model since the XT2 isnt out)

So end of the day, which camera do you want? A camera that is a beast but needs taming (A7R2), or a camera that is enough for normal shooter's usage and makes shooting fun?

I've moved from X-T1 to A7ii SOLELY because I shoot legacy lens 99% of the time. For me, FF is still the way to unlock full potential of those old full frame legacy lenses.

But...

If you intend to just stick with 1 system and use native AF lenses, Fujifilm is quite a good choice!

I would say...choose a system that you can afford in the long term and is comfortable with it. Affordability has always been the factor. If this is not the factor, I guess most of us would be owning multiple systems.

A very balanced answer. Sometimes the question can be even simpler , for what u wana shoot - do u need full frame ?

I've seen few people who can fully utilize what the A7R2 is capable of (and it's crazy plenty)

Back to u Ts, budget ; weight u intend to lug; the output SOOC (yes, this does matter as not everyone will edit every single shot)

I tried the Sony A system and didn't enjoy it, and this is personal.

I know it's personal taste n subjective. May i know which is better for street photography, X-pro2 or XT1?

X70 for me...

(I have the XP2, XT1 and X70).

Quietest shutter, touch screen to focus and shoot.

Excellent for street.

Street shoot cameras should be as discreet as possible , not a piece of show-off bling metal shouting I'm aiming my camera at you.

X70.
One of the smallest of the choices here , silent shutter , APSC, tilt-screen plus touch focus / shooting so U can shoot from the hip.

And like the GR, u get 21mm with an adapter so there's versatility. Some other good ones u can also consider are the RX100 series , GR and of course the compact MFT bodies from Oly and Pana which are really significantly cheaper than the X70, GR or RX100 series.

Can always buy it back later if u miss it since u said it's the best street camera , after all there's a very steady supply of cheaper Q in BnS.

So why is it better for street ? It's chunky to me lol.

I think any camera will do as long as you are comfortable with it.
Personally out of the two I like xt1 form factors and the bigger and higher magnification view finder.

Thanks for some of the advice n suggestion. I prefer a bigger sensor (APSC) with interchangeable lenses camera.
Leica Q is expensive to own for me n the lens is fixed at 28mm.
I would think Xpro2 is more suitable for street as compared to XT1.
Just my thought.

If it works for u , I'm glad :) there's hardly a good way to say which is an absolute better choice than the other.

What the X-T2 has over the X-Pro2 isn't important to me for what I want to shoot , hence I will prefer to use the X-Pro2 and the X70
