I'm a newbie and just got my D3100 last Sunday at MS Colour @ AMK Ctr at $799 for camera body and a 18 - 55mm len. It come with free tripod & 1 8GB card. Got the dry box at $23 but do check on the gel colour whether is has changed. Hope u find it helpful!

Just asked Parisilk and they are offering the kit at $780 nett, with free 8GB card and camera bag. Is that reasonable ? I know some got it for about $835 but with the additional tripod and cleaning kit.

B+W would be a good investment.

B+W would be a good investment.
Check out the mass sales.About $55 each for the 52mm.

It's only a good investment if you foresee any future lens using 52mm thread. So far, I've only see DX lens and 50mm F/1.8 uses 52mm. To me, a 67mm or 77mn B+W would more likely be a good investment.
