Forget e-quote, just walk through Funan and ask and you will figure it out.
Hmmm cannot mentioned name of shop in the forum?
Alan photo, TKphoto SRLRev..

Was quoted $2659 for cc with installment plan by CPM. Is this a good deal?

Canon claims the 6D's 11 point AF system is capable of improved accuracy at extremely low light levels. Can any 6D user vouch for this?

No demo set is still there.. I can't take demo set else how do ppl come and try haha

Lynn

Was told by Richard Young that there is no more 6D demo set. Almost wasted the trip but he was generous enough to let me try a "reserved" set. A big THANK YOU!!:D

6D is instead a very ergomatic camera, fits nicely into my small hands. It feels very good. It might have only 1 Cross point but I don't think you need other off centre points if you don't shoot in low light. I currently have a nikon D5100 setup and might jump ship as the D600 feels so much like a brick.

So far, only AF speed in low light has been tested, accuracy not revealed yet: low light AF comparison.

Quote: "I would say it is safe to conclude here that Canon 6D's central focus point easily out performs all of the other cameras' central focus points in low light.

There is definitely something going on with the 6D's focusing system on that central square. It is very, very good in low light, about twice as fast as the 5Dii & It even out performs the 5Diii's central square.

The Nikon D600 failed to lock even once without its AF light."

This is a very interesting and positive feature. I hope it will make its way across all camera lines.

No problem bro, just feeling suspicious with that low price... LOL

If reputable shop... then the (lower) price quoted is "safe".... but I do believe the prices are a bit lower now.... ;)

So no more 6D demo set at Click???

Shucks........

I was at Canon Vivo city this evening and a bro was hogging the 6D, and I did not get to test it as another bro... was also queuing......... sigh......

So near yet so far........... and I was unable to wait...... :(

I did tried the 5D2 & 5D3.... and I thought the center point was ok for 5D2.... so I am sure the 6D will be fine for me too.................

Regarding AF performance,I shot in a restaurant in london which had the worst of light conditions and the 6D performed flawlessly. Highly recommended as a back up body.

Nice! Couldn't get it anywhere! Tried TK, Cathay, Click all out of stock...Can PM me the place you bought it?

Tried the 6D with 24-105 at Canon Vivo City..the AF was hunting the black object that i was trying to focus..not too convincing..didnt check the setup though..coz few others were waiting for their turn..its quite small & light though..

Here is the Pic with low ISO 50 with long explosure shot (244 sec).:)
6D, well manage to control over long explosure noise. A big step improvement for me compare with 7D output in this area.
The most exciting thing is Center super AF of 6D, I used Lee Big Stopper (-10)stop, Lee GND 0.75 Hard (-2.5)stop, stack together -12.5 stop.
The previous 7D lost his AF in such situation and usually switched to Manual Focus to take picture. After put on the filters, it is totally dark through the lens.
For 6D,Center Super AF is still working on 16-35II and no need to switch for Manual at (-13 F stop).
It is really amazing and very convenience for Landscape area.:D

I was at Funan earlier @ 5.30 pm. challenger selling $2650 cash and $2760 CC installments. Song Brother - $2680 cash, $2850 CC installments. Did not check on other shops as was rushing to get other stuff. Hope these info help.
