Here is the Pic with low ISO 50 with long explosure shot (244 sec).:)
6D, well manage to control over long explosure noise. A big step improvement for me compare with 7D output in this area.
The most exciting thing is Center super AF of 6D, I used Lee Big Stopper (-10)stop, Lee GND 0.75 Hard (-2.5)stop, stack together -12.5 stop.
The previous 7D lost his AF in such situation and usually switched to Manual Focus to take picture. After put on the filters, it is totally dark through the lens.
For 6D,Center Super AF is still working on 16-35II and no need to switch for Manual at (-13 F stop).
It is really amazing and very convenience for Landscape area.:D

Beautiful shot too! Thanks for sharing!

Tried the 6D with 24-105 at Canon Vivo City..the AF was hunting the black object that i was trying to focus..not too convincing..didnt check the setup though..coz few others were waiting for their turn..its quite small & light though..

you are focusing on something with no contrast, its just like shooting a white wall, how can you expect the camera not to hunt?? Don't say hunt, i doubt it can even lock focus

Black object doesnt mean all black..it has some shine at the edges..eg, black table..

I finally got to use the remote utility at the louvre earlier. Didn't trust anyone to use the camera for us.. And i must say it worked wonders!

Superb for doing self portraits!

any problem with 3rd party batteries on 6D? battery level can be read?

I'm using this 3rd party one that was bought from cathay. Can't be read and it died really quick. Thankfully the 6D can last pretty long on 1 battery.

Any idea when the battery grip is on sale?

I would get the 6D + 24 - 70 and 70 - 200.
The camera body is just a tool for capturing image and the price will depreciate but Lenses will still hold value.
Of cause 24 - 70 Mk2 and 70 - 200 IS Mk 2 would be a better option buy without looking back. Save up a bit.

Yes..i dont hv problem focusing my 5d3 with 17-40 on edges of a black objects..

Did you test both cameras side-by-side with the same lens on the same subject under identical conditions? Never rely on memory. If you never tested them side-by-side, it's pure garbage... whatever you are saying.

yes I would rather get the 2 lens.

Indeed. Anyway, focusing on a reflection isn't the best way to test the AF in the first place. The camera will lock on most probably but that doesn't mean the actual subject is in focus.

Its not memory, its my experience..may not be as good as your experience but good enough for me to make my own judgment regarding my gears/future gears...if the 6D is good enough for you, go get it..i'm not saying its a bad camera coz its a good one...just that its not convincing me enough..

Well you might be correct but its just not convincing enough for me to get it..:bsmilie:

For a 20m px full frame camera that cost around $2500 makes me a happy man, the build in GPS and Wifi is a bonus! :D
Focusing can be challenging in some situation... sometimes one will have to find a work around or work back to the fundamental of focus and pre-focus or maunal focus liao...
There are no perfect camera but the knowledge of handle the camera in difficult situation. :)
