Depth of field is different. Bokeh will depend on lens construction and image composition, not f/1.4 vs f/4
 

I do have the budget for the kit 2, but i got the kit 1 with 50mm f1.4 to play with dof.
Got it for 449 which i feel is worth it. The f1.4 is awesome. Nice creamy bokeh.

Im playing ard with the 18-55 first before upgrading.

wow u got 50mmf1.4 from BnS? not too bad ~~ :)
