Hi guys,

After playing with my 60d for a few days, I notice there is a dust particle in my lens. I am very new to dslr. Will it be fine? Can anyone advice?

Hi. Dust particles are common and will get into the Lens once a while. Not to worry, Picture quality will not suffer due to the small speck of dust. If you want to be sure of, take note of ur pictures. Are there any visible/ obvious spots in ur photos? If not it's perfectly fine. That is why canon also provides general servicing for lenses where they'll help you clean and service the lens when you send it in. :)

Hi,

May i ask, on the 60d, would a canon 17-55mm image come out better than a canon 20mm or 24mm image?

What kind of images are you expecting. Sharp? Vibrant? Or any bokeh effects etc..? Maybe you can share also what objects you normally shoot before you can decide on a Lens. :)

hi guys, im a total noob but really into photography and i hope i be able to learn fast :D
if im into landscapes and bokeh what type of lens would you recommend me? ~

Maybe u can consider Canon 17-55mm.
17mm for the wide (landscape)
f2.8 for bokeh.
Price: $1.5K approx.

Else you may also consider Tamron 17-50 F2.8 too.
Price: $900+ if Im not wrong.

canon 17-55 would fit well if you want a both in 1 lens at 1.5k,

but my advice is to buy a used 17-40L (superb landscape) for $800 and a used sigma 50 1.4 (superb bokeh) for $600 (`・ω・´)9

to be honest initially i was looking to purchase these two : EF 24-105mm F/4L IS USM,
Tokina AT-X 116 PRO DX [ but totally over my budget] should i save up for these two?

Hi all,

I just bought the Canon 60D yesterday and hope gurus here can help me out in the future. :)

Anyone know where exactly can i collect my tripod? is it at vivo city shop or harbourfront?

Hope to learn more from you guys, kindly pardon me if i ask lame questions, but that is cos i really dunno... nonetheless thanks all in advance for all your help :)

I also purchased the 1100D and it will be coming on Wednesday, super excited :) The 1100D is for my sister, we are sharing lens and camera as well.. cos i really like the 1100D body and it is easier to use with function spell out nicely, might be a great camera to bring to overseas and just out about anywhere we like due to the small size and light weight...

super happy and excited, anyone knows if there are any good videos that teaches more about camera function and how to properly use them?

Thanks all :)

@meganut, congrats! Yea, do sign up for the complementary product training, it's a good start for people new to DSLRs =) Do ask for your free 60D user's guide along when you collect your tripod too.

Mean while you have to get a few stuffs to protect your gears if you haven't already: Dry Cabinet, lens filter (UV)
Other stuffs you might wanna buy: Lens pen and a blower(Giottos or something else), lens hood

Wow, thanks all for being so helpful, i appreciate it.. thanks for all the informations. Will go get the stuff. :) thankssss. Are you all familiar with or users of 60D also?
