just saw third party 60D battery grip is here at the mass sales under brand hercules .

pop up flash failure..

i used toothpick to prop the metal part of the right side higher so there will be contact when the pop up flash is closed....

done once or twice, now ok already..

So did mine, after using a 430 EXII. Another CSer used two jewellers' screwdrivers to lift up the left side of flash contacts. I too used a toothpick on both sides and, thank god it works!

anyone bought this? apart from the shutter release, does it have other function like dial scroll, EF-lock, etc? and how many battery or AA can insert.

I think it's just due to fluctuating exchange rates. Prices are about even both sides of the causeway at an exchange rate of 2.4+ however of late, it's been hovering around 2.3+ which puts a 5% price difference in favour of better prices in Malaysia. I'm currently scouting for a good deal too, and although in the past I source used items from SG sellers in ClubSnap, I currenty find prices in MY a bit better for now.

Which SDHC card works fine for movie recording? Also, does the class 'n' indicates the speed (mb/s) e.g. class 6 = 6mb/s, 10 = 10mb/s and etc..

The best is Sandisk Extreme class 10 (30 Mb/s)

I agree... seems like sandisk data rates are higher than other brands of same class... but for movie recording on the 60D... I am using a Sandisk class 6 at 20Mb/s and working very well...

Yes. Price was a big factor. You could get another decent lens for $700.

Also, unless you need 8fps, 60D is good enough.

The investment should be in the lens over the body. IQ is in the lens not the body. Lens also do not refresh as fast as body.

60d compared to 7d the only thing i hate bout is the video switching for 60d.. very trouble some.. other than that is quite ok for me..

I am using the 16GB sandisk class 6 SD card on my 60D. No issue at all. But I paid S$80 for it. Can share where is the shop? Thought of getting another one.
