Is this type of defect covered under the warranty? If cannot exchange at least can replace the LCD.

1 stuck or dead pixel is usually not considered as a defect, not in this class of consumer grade items.

Anyway, I hope they are nice and replace the LCD panel for new.

Exactly the case I went on the 6th day she was not around and the 7th day I call she asked me to wait til Monday and ask me not to use the camera anymore because my shutter count wad Ard 1k already, but it came out on the 6th day I Oso can't do anything...

You went there and they send you away again? They should have exchanged your camera on the spot. Why should you care if the boss is around or not?

They asked me to wait for more dead pixel to come out then go to canon and change but I feel so weird, I bought from the director and she asked to me find her if there is any problem. So I gave her a ring and inform her after I went down to Msc on the 6 day...

I still don't gasp it completely but as long as you're happy it should be fine. Hopefully they will get back to you on Monday.
 

Fwiw MS Color isn't attending the IT fair but I believe the boss asked you to wait because she herself probably has problem getting hold of stocks.

Unfortunately even if she could get the stocks do not forget the 1 dead pixel isn't usually covered by warranty though I have every confidence that MS Color will try their best to help.

I feel your pain regarding the 1 dead pixel but take note industry standard looks at 5 dead pixels on a screen before considering it to be a problem. At least that is what I understand.

Yup I have confidence in them also I've bought lens from them also they r friendly... I just hope to justify the money that I've spent on the mark iii. Even if its jus one dead pixel

Yep definitely. Can feel your pain. Let's hope it gets resolved sooner rather than later.

It will depends on the availability of parts, complication of the repair, etc.

The last time I sent in my cam for focus screen replacement and sensor cleaning just took 1 hour.

Was the original shop out of stock?
 

I think the 1,000 shutter count will make it difficult for the shop to send back to the Canon supplier for replacement.

Yup should be but I already collected it from canon and finally able to enjoy the 5d again :)
