finally got my dream camera 5D mark III ^^ hope to get some tips from the seniors! ^^ enjoy shooting everybody! :)

Pls advise how can i identify a new mk 3 or used, if it belongs to the batch with the light leakage problem? Thanks

I just found the answer from the Canon U.S. website:

"Products whose sixth digit in the serial number is 1 or 2 are affected.
For example,　“xxxxx1xxxxxx”　or “xxxxx2xxxxxx” ([x] represents any optional number.)"

Hi bro and sis, Bought 5D mark iii abt a week ago, follow 24-70 mark ii 2 days ago, do i need to calibrate it. I found the photo abit soft compare to the 1 i rented a day b4 i made the purchased from sgrental. How long will canon need to hold on to the camera. Thank you.

try to preform AF mircoadjustment on the cam itself, if it is beyond adjustment range in the cam then send it down. It took them about a week for my prime lens last round.

you can request them to expedite. if they are not too busy, quite sure they will help.

Yes, 4 or 5 business days is about right. That is the length of time my camera was with CSC for calibration. It was worth the wait though... my camera and lens produced photos of such sharpness that I bled for about a week until I got used to it. LOL ;)
