your 7D set up is a very good set up, good FPS and a nice AF system for crop body. I guess you will only upgrade to 5D3 if someday, you want to shoot on FF. ;p

in-cam. it gives you the final photo with the option to save the source photo also

i already know what i want. FF is the way to go, i will gladly trade the 2 FPS for so many good stuffs in the 35mm sensor.

it is only a matter of time before i upgrade. that is when i feel comfortable to do so.

7D is pretty awesome, and only the 1DX & 5DM3 top it... so I think I can still survive with it for the next 4 years....

FYI, I have been on 400D prior to my 7D last Sept.... and I am ok with 400D.... no spot metering, not fast FPS, no this & that... it is all in the mind.......

and also i think its not all in the mind,its the latest technology that really counts sometimes.
ofcourse iam not saying entry level DSLR can't produce fantastic pics,sometimes nothing beats the latest invention.

that time when the 5DMK3 rumour was floating around, i already kinda thinking liao.

didn't wanna go for the MK2 because i already had the taste of the 7D AF system and 100% VF. this 2 aspects are something which i will not let go of.

so i just shoot as per normal with my 10-22.

MK3 came out liao, initially i was not very tempted but see all the sample photos, omg the ISO performance is nap shot man!

plus the updated AF system, i think this is it liao la, time to eat bread and save up! :bsmilie:

Of course newer tech make a diff, but the Digic 5 processor will make a big differences.... but I also mean as in the overall package....

600D, etc range will still behind to a XD series....

i haven't settle my Taiwan trip money leh but i really feel like bringing the MK3 purchase forward, before i head to Taiwan in july.

but seems a bit far fetched to me.

MK3 + 17-40L = 5k+

this is the bare minimum i must have. cannot live without UWA liao.

Same - I'm still using the same cheap 3rd party cable shutter release that I use for Mark II

5D mk3 first day rental = $168 . ::bsmilie: if for 7 days.. i think at least more than $600 rental fee. some more excluding lens rental.

i'm not inclined into renting such expensive equipments, especially for overseas trip when i cannot guarantee the safety of the equipments.
