I reached ard 8pm. The guy pull down shutter halfway. Inside still alot of ppl. I waited outside he just ignore me. Then he open for one guy to come out. Then I ask him if I can quickly browse thru the bags. He said no. I pleaded since I've come all the way to town. He just shake head n like bo chap me. I walked ard...I saw another shop, the shutter down, got ppl stop in front, they quickly lift up shutter and let them in with a smile. So sianz... I'm just one customer. No big deal for them. :dunno: It could be just me...

Should be ok. Download the 1.0.8 firmware from Canon USA. Canon Singapore is slow most of the time.

I can find the change for 1.0.8 but can't find the change from 1.0.6 to 1.0.7.

This seems to be from Japan. Same here, 1.0.6.

yes david, thats for the 107 to 108. but i think we are on 106 which we shld not install this firmware right? i mean since its stated for 107 to 108 ya.:dunno:

I would not suggest the Benro A- Series. Add another $30 and get the Sirui T-1005X Tripod with a G-10 Ball Head, definitely worth the buy.

5 good reasons to get the Sirui than the Benro.

[1] Sirui uses G- lock, while Benro uses Clip lock for the legs.

[2] Sirui has 6 years warranty, while Benro has 1 year warranty only.

[3] The G-10 Ball Head, can lock it's pan, 2 features, while the BH-0 Ball Head can lock once, 1 feature only.

[4] Sirui is smaller in size when folded, whereas Benro is much larger.

[5] (From [4]), Sirui can be folded inverted order, hence it's shorter when folded by a length of a ball head.

P.S, no offence intended for the Benro users, just sharing my opinion.

Thx for the recommendation =) Just got mine @ John 3:16 today afternoon. They were also very helpful teaching me how to familiar with the tripod (a bit complicated with all the twist and turns when compare to those $30 types....lol)

I believe it shouldn't be a problem. Cause like other stuffs like motherboard, mobile devices also upgrade to latest firmware no matter what version the current the firmware is.

To confirm this, it states The Version 1.0.8 firmware is for camera with firmware up to Version 1.0.7. So no worries loh

Maybe 1.0.7 is an unreleased firmware since most of us is in 1.0.6.

1.0.8 seems to be just a minor bug fix. I just interested in what Canon has fixed in 1.0.7. Wondering got new feature or major fix in 1.0.7

This is what Canon say on the firmware update page:

"The Version 1.0.8 firmware is for cameras with firmware up to Version 1.0.6. If the camera's firmware is already Version 1.0.8, it is not necessary to update the firmware."

So the update DOES apply for cameras with 1.0.6. And it also implies that 1.0.7 was never released.

Anyway, calibration at sigma service centre is free. Just call them to make an appointment and dont forget to bring your camera along.

Must have warranty still? If not, how much would it cost for calibration? any idea?

i have 1 extra screen protector for sale, u keen i sell u cheap $5 with normal postage or u keen $4 come collect from me. Postage is not $1 but just wanna to make my self convient so sell cheap if self collect
