Anyway, calibration at sigma service centre is free. Just call them to make an appointment and dont forget to bring your camera along.

I got mine at SLR at $17
im using nissin too, not bad but larger than i thot... i rmbr the 430ex wasnt as large (i could be juz having mixed perception) today i went to cosfest to shoot. anyone else went??i was walking ard with sigma 17-70 and di622. wah 2 hrs can die sia the grip too small for me, weight imbalanced so quite tiring to hold :\
I just bought 550D with kit 1 lens & Di466 flash last week. I am a pretty much amateur shooter myself and always went for event like cosfest for long hours. Therefore I went for a light combi over quality first (and cost of course). So far very satisfied with my experience at cosfest. Only problem zoom len focal range too short. Need to get a 55-250mm and a tripod as some of the events are on stage.

if u find the 18-55 too short for normal use then the 55-250 wont solve the problem. i have the same combi and found it very inconvenient to keep switching, hence i bought the sigma 17-70 (reason why i din buy the 17-85 is bcos its image quality is not as good as the 18-55, if u have $900 go buy the 15-85, it is much better. if not then buy the same one as mine). but if the problem u face is occasional need to shoot far then the 55-250 will suit that perfectly

Just realised my 550d is only at firmware 1.0.6. Anyone know what is fixed in 1.0.7? Haha. Can't seem to google it.Bros of

Damn excited today to collect my camera. Then happily, I headed down to Funan to look for bags. However, my happiness was slightly marred by unpleasant experience at TK foto. Sighh...

Should be ok. Download the 1.0.8 firmware from Canon USA. Canon Singapore is slow most of the time.
I can find the change for 1.0.8 but can't find the change from 1.0.6 to 1.0.7.
I reached ard 8pm. The guy pull down shutter halfway. Inside still alot of ppl. I waited outside he just ignore me. Then he open for one guy to come out. Then I ask him if I can quickly browse thru the bags. He said no. I pleaded since I've come all the way to town. He just shake head n like bo chap me. I walked ard...I saw another shop, the shutter down, got ppl stop in front, they quickly lift up shutter and let them in with a smile. So sianz... I'm just one customer. No big deal for them. :dunno: It could be just me...

Actually I feel that there's no bad experience. Like for example, u wanna buy LV bag, go LV at orchard road, go until there 9.30, closed.. Security don't let you in, is this bad experience.
In fact I feel that the marketing concept is well done at TK Foto, one thing why I like them it's because they are FIRM to everyone, $100 means $100, no bargain.
Service wise is much better, but of course, don't be so vain, be normal and ask the young chap, James if you have any questions.

I don't mind either but all set are default with 1.06. Few weeks back, I surf the site and it was still showing 1.0.6 (ie no update). Then suddenly it jump to 1.0.8.
