Hello CS!!

Just Bought my
550D Kit 1 + Wide Angel w/ macro 58mm + UV coated filter
50mm f1.4 + UV coated Filter


I m loving it!
Love the macro and also the bokeh for a newbie like me WOoooOO:heart:

Will be experimenting a lot of shots in few days time.

Next Wish list Item :
1. Longer Life Battery (bros do recommend me which is good below $100)
2. Polarized Filter
3. Dry Cabinet (Do i really need it urgently or i just left my beg case open for it to aired?)

wow, ur pockets seem to be deep. lol. i'd say go for the dry cabi first. then perhaps a battery grip then u can put 2 batteries. but seriously i havent really used more than 1 battery a day yet.

Actually i save up my 3months saving actually heart pain when buying all those things in 1 shot but its well worth it ar

Welcome bro. I also came from ur ship. ;p

not only specs wise 550d is tempting, its high iso performance is something u never seen somewhere else (from my previous cams). I used to avoid iso1600 and above previously but now i almost always shoot at iso3200 with my kit lens only at home as it is dimly lit. Mind u i dun even noticed its iso3200 and only know when i looked at the exif!!! Yes, its that sharp and colors are well retained even at this iso level.

I am glad i took the plunge. Low light shooting has never been so fun and low cost!!! (dun hv to buy expensve primes)

OK, thanks man. Yup, I do find the bit rate of 550D videos are higher at 50000kbps vs Nex5 of 17000kbps, probably that's the reason why my PC cannot really handle it.

Also a 1min video from 550D can go as high as 500mb...:sweat:

If you're playing the video directly to an HDTV, no editing whatsoever, a WDTV (or any HD media player) would help. It plays videos straight from the camera seamlessly.

I am thinking of lugging my camera to shot some pictures during a 10km walkaton. Do you think it is advisable to do so especially when there is a lot of "sweat" during the walk?

walkathon? so no running? u might wanna find a good strap for ur camera cos after a while it may be quite tiring to hold in ur hand and u may accidentally lose ur grip on it. also u can try to wear gloves to lessen exposure to moisture

I would recommend a Op-Tech Pro Loop Strap, detachable quick release clips that can turn a neck strap into a hand strap. $30 from TK Foto, $35 from Cathay Photo.

I bought my 550 in april and was only given the EOS bag. I did register the warranty on-line, wonder if I could bring my EOS bag to exchange for the crumpler bag:think:

Like what Jerrold said,you can get the Op-Tech neck strap.After that can take out and wash.If you want something different,you might wanna try out the BlackRapid R strap

guys...

recently i have abit of problem... i was playing with AV model and i dunno wat did i adject in the end all my focus all gone blur... when i look through the hole i dont see my imagine at all ;( is there anyway to reset to it default stated or i have to play until i get back the right foucs?
