hi guys
i also have the pendrive class 4, which was free from canon. currently i'm using my spare 16gb Kingston class 4, which i was originally using for my legria hd, simply because it has bigger capacity for my raw+jpeg shooting.

it's interesting to note that whenever i shoot video on my 550d using the kingston one, i notice that the buffer indicator sometimes shows up. i've never seen this on the pendrive.

it appears that the pendrive class 4 is slightly faster than the kingston class 4--although both are class 4's.

class 4 defines the minimum speed of the card but there may be manufacturers that produce sd card with higher speed than class 4 but less than class 6
* Class 2: 16 Mbit/s (2 MB/s)
* Class 4: 32 Mbit/s (4 MB/s)
* Class 6: 48 Mbit/s (6 MB/s)
* Class 10: 80 Mbit/s (10 MB/s)

im guessing that pendrive is at a higher speed than kingston?

Seems like SLR Revo has their own "package"....hmmm

I bought from MS Color and also had to go to Harbour to collect the Pendrive 8GB Class 4 SDHC and the bag. I accepted the Canon sling bag unaware there's actually another choice of bag :( I gave the Canon bag to my bro since I'm using Photorunner. How does the tote bag look like?

The tote bag is like this :
http://cgi.ebay.com.sg/COOL-CANON-EOS-TOTE-BAG-/250617270519

at least you can sell it again, canon sell it for 80$ in canon store vivo city, for the one asking the divider, i don't know where to buy that, anyone knows ? but the divider inside the tote bag is quite good for me.

just got my 550d today at slr rev..
my first dslr..

Just purchased my first DLSR and new to this forum. As I was trying to fill up my Sandisk SDHC 16GB in Video mode, while recording in the 2nd continuous 12mins session, the high temperature warning icon appeared. Is this normal?

Mine have a high temperature logo after recording my lectures for about 1hr in HD & SD.

So far there isn't a overheat and shut down msg. Camera, memory card and battery really get hot, shows DigiC IV doing its job.

Oh ic.. but it won't spoil the camera right? What's the job of the DigiC IV anyway? :bsmilie:

It seems to be quite common, especially when shooting outside in the sunshine. I tend to switch off the cam when not shooting, just to let it cool down, but for long shots I suppose you can't do that. Since the battery contributes to the high temperature, you could help the situation by using a battery grip which moves the hot battery outside the camera body.

The figures refers to Minimum write speed.
Yeah that's how it says in the post :D

I heard the heat issue is prevalent with the 7D as well--partly because of its dual digic IV Processors.

New round here; moved to Singapore recently (from UK), and wanting to get rid of my 400D for a 550D. What's the most economical way? Do any dealers offer reasonable part exchange prices? Any ideas how much I can get for a mint (<4000 shots) 400D, and where best to sell (eBay?). Are the 500Ds sold at SLS official Singapore versions with warranty? I own the 50mm f/1.8 II, the 18-200mm f/3.5 IS, and the 60mm macro so only want to sell and buy body.

Thanks!

Hello and welcome to Singapore!

You can try to sell your 400D in the buy and sell section to fund your purchase of 550D. (Be careful around SLS shops, only buy from reputable shops.)

Or you could try out Canon's buy back program. More info at http://www.clubsnap.com/forums/showthread.php?t=509763

Hope this helps!
