17-55 is far too costly, you can get tamron 17-50mmf2.8VC. quite similar but cheaper in price.

how much is the tamron 17-50mm VC version?
i frequent artworkfoto.. cathay photo has good prices too. for the 50mm 1.4 i've tried canon and sigma and somehow i still prefer the sigma version.

I tried this and the 10-22, and the f2.8 is really useful in certain situations. IQ is more or less the same, pricing wise 10-22 is slightly more expensive. If you are lucky you can get either at about $700. I am no longer on crop but I know I won't go wrong with either mzbarz1986

Hey guys... Im planning to get a 600D ,55mm 1.8 2 and a 18-135mm.. Which hopefully can get below 2k... I'm impressed with John photo... Good service and explains well to my photo preferences..

Currently, I'm also having the same configuration as yours. Was trying on Tamron 17-50 and Canon 17-55 this afternoon. Guess I should be heading towards Canon 17-55 soon, maybe next week.
original batt from Canon will be 99 .. outside selling will be lower ~~ like 89 or lower ..
3rd party batt will be around 30+/-

1st post here as I just got my Canon 600D + kit 1 thru the PPP program. Also brought Canon 35mm f2 over weekend so now really enjoying my new gears.
I will be using f2 more often than kit lens as it give nice bokeh and I'm more to taking pics of kids and family.
Do any bro here have the same setup as me? Care to share your thoughts? Thanks in advance....

I just bought my 600D kit II which is 18 - 135mm + 55mm - 250mm lens which 22 -250mm have offer about a month ago tat is half of the price.. Is more than enough with 18 - 135mm. That's my opinion. By the way where's JOHN'S Photo? FUNAN?

John 3:16 is a unique store. It is very popular and always full of people. There are honest to the tee... Their prices are sometimes a little more expensive but they will take care of you if you have problems with anything you buy from them.
I bought my 7D from them when it first came to Singapore. I was told that if anything is wrong with the 7D, I would just bring it in and they would exchange it for another 7D.
As far as cleaning kit and lens cloth, I believe that they sell these as well as many of the photo shops at Funan. Just one thing... avoid Bally Photo!!!

Hi all. Just a quick question. I'm sorry if this question have been answered but I just couldnt find the thread to my question.
Anyway. I have problem while recording video on my 600d. It's always stop the recording n " video stopped automatically" message display on the screen.
My memory card is class 6 lexar brand and it's 8gb. Is it because of the small gb on the memory card? Anyone have problem like this? Do help me. Thanks in advance.
And also one more thing., is there any ways to store the camera properly? Must it be store camera facibg upstraight? And do will the camera have any problem is its not been on for quite long cause I'm quite bz with work. Sometimes I will bring the camera out after like a month o so. But I take out the battery whenever iI store them. Will there any problem if it's not Been on for so long. ?
