Rumor or hope?

In any case, when III is released, the price will also be equally high to match the new model's features and recoup the R&D in the new model. So IMO, if you like what you are getting at this price, JUST DO IT! :bsmilie:

yeah, and the cycle continues if u want to wait for MKIII price to drop. by then, another rumour of MKIV coming out... then u wait again loh.

yeah, it always like that. the price difference between mk 3 and 2 would be pretty big that it would not really influences the price of new or 2nd hand 5d mark 2 by a good margin.

This is different in lower end bodies, where the price difference between the new and old model is pretty small, thus influences the price of older body significantly.

Just joined the gang and my pocket is lighter.
Takes some getting used to from the 550D.

While at the shop, I had the opportunity to test out the Sigma 50f1.4, man that is some lens, sees the world in a different perspective, but that will have to wait to another day.

When u lay ur hands on the f1.2s , then it is another different perspective again :bsmilie:

yeah i spent some time getting used to 5DMKII too from 450D :)

cos i see big difference in crop to FF when comes to composing, cos now u got extra work space. at times u find yourself you will need to walk in a few steps to close up the space when composing a photo if you compare using a crop previously in the same place.

Hi Everyone,

Gotten myself a 5d after so many years of contemplating... really lovin the sharpness of this cam when combined with a L...

BTW how many of you guys gaffer the cam?

Merry Christmas everyone!

Nah, i I dislike gaffer as it leaves a sticky residue when it peels or when you wanna remove it..

And not to mention its a difficult job to gaffer up the cam, tried and failed horribly, gotta engage a professional :)

Dear Seniors, I have problem with TV mode.

Im unable to set the shutter speed which i wanted, as my mark2 actually over-write my shutter speed inputs (im in Tv mode)

Just for eg
I set Shutter speed 8000 F1.8 ISO 100==>camera change my speed to 10 after I press 1/2 shutter and snap photo
I set Shutter speed 1000 F1.8 ISO 100==>camera change my speed to 30 ditto

I set Shutter speed 30" F22 ISO 100==>camera change my speed to 8" ditto
I set Shutter speed 15" F22 ISO 100=>camera change my speed to 10" ditto

How can I set my shutter speed in TV mode and not letting my mark2 over-write it?(despite knowing that result might be over/underexpose)

hello is there anyone know where to download canon software (digital photo professional)
becoz i just lost my cd during packing stuff :(
thanks

Hi fellow Cs-ers, would like to clarify something about this cam. I notice that when I mount my lenses onto the 5dm2, there is certain amount of play between the lens and the body, as in I can actually feel the lens shake when I twist the lens clockwise and anti-clockwise. It only gets worse with the 70-200, is this normal?

Normal.

Ok Guys,
I just did it and there's no turning back.

Officially, as of today, the 24th Dec 2010, at 3:30pm... I became a 5D mk ii owner.

Oh yeah... I have upgraded up from a Sony a700. Don't get me wrong.. I am still keeping my a700 but it is my back up cam for now till i get another canon body in a year or two...

I was poisoned on the 5d mk ii when i cam assisted for a day on Sylvia's MTV which was shot on the 5d mk ii with Carl zeiss primes... drool..

Anyone have try EF 35mm f/2 or 28mm f/1.8 usm on 5dm2 ?
Need a general wide prime to complement 24-105.

35 f2 is noisy like hell, colors turn out dull. But sharpness is good.
