Just got to know that the ISO Expansion got to be "On" in order to have the option for "ISO 50".

Might be useful if you shoot JPEG but useless if you shoot RAW. ISO "L" just means overexposing 1-stop at ISO 100 and with a flag in the RAW file to tell your RAW processor to bring it back down.

Not sure how you want to maximise FF using a fisheye lens but rather fisheye effect is maximised on a FF cam? Actually its subjective as some like and others don't like the fisheye effect.

In terms of price definitely 1.8, but it might be able to reach the full potential of 21mp camera (dun quote me, what i read off the web) I wanted to keep my setup as "L" as possible so I went for the 35L instead of 50s. Thats jus me thou

When I was doing my research, I found most street photographers prefer the 35mm over the 50mm due to the angle of view. 63deg vs 46deg. This means that you can capture more of the subject's surrounding into the photo to relate the story. Personally I think this is a matter of individual preference. some prefer street portraits (less bg) some prefer shoot from behind the wall (70-200).

2nd factor was price. 35L is cheaper than 50L (for me anyway)

3rd factor was 50L received alot of negative reviews but after a quick Google search, seems like the newer batches have been updated? (not so sure)

other than ur OM Zuiko 50mm f1/4 , we have exactly the same setup! My all time fav nvr will sell lens is 135L!! :heart::heart::heart::heart::heart:

Coming back to body sharing thread,

i customised my "SET" button as image playback button. This allows me to quickly review the last taken photo without have to remove my left hand from holding the lens to press the playback button on the left.

Moreover my right hand remains in the same position ready to shoot.

Hope someone finds this useful too!

any website link that stated 50L have a lot negative review, I also consider the price too hehhe if 50L somehow bad in certain area maybe prefer go to 35L and 135L.

Hi all! So my 5dMKII + 24-105 kit arrived yesterday! Wow! Upgrading from a 400d certainly is a big jump!

Had a walkaround and play with it last night for an hour or so . . . .. v impressed so far! Will certainly take a bit of getting used to though. Some things that were intuitive on my old body (just through using it alot I reckon) are pretty different, ie adjusting exposure compensation and ISO whilst in Av, but that will come in time.

One thing I will say:

"Getting a better camera does not make you a better photographer!!"

it took me a while to get used to it (from 450D) too haha especially the focal length wider now

Going to face the same problem your facing but in "Good way" ..haha. Collecting my 5DMKII +24-105kit tmr. Take me long long time to consider of purchasing the 5DMKII, being using XXXD for many years (300D,400D,500D and now 550D)
