My quote was feedback by a few of my friends who're using the MK II but for me it does look similar and must be compared on a computer screen, taken with the exact same settings with the same lens.

it's around 1k - 1.3k now..

quite a few going around, be sure to check properly before committing.

so your saying that the 5D1 has better IQ than the 5D2? is that what you mean? it's like IQ over technology.

What I meant was the colour are pretty much the same. Only difference is 5D1 image looks 1/3 to 2/3 stop brighter with everything else the same when compared with 5D2.

What do u mean actually? The thing is that even if your Ls are weather-sealed, full weather-sealing is not available if your DSLR body is not weather-sealed.

The 12-24 is my favourite non-owned lens! I rented it in August and coupled it to my 5D for an entire week! This will become my next lens!

This lens combo with the 5D is truly outstanding. Why not go get one copy? The version II is out though.

Yes the Sigma 12-24 Mark II version has been out for a few months now. I saw some in Hong Kong for very reasonable prices in September. I'm trying to exercise a little restraint as I bought a lens just 2 months ago! Sure would like to have one with my 5D MkIII though...

Fantastic walkaround lens on FF and especially great for holidays! When I was in China earlier this year, my 12-24 was full-time on my 5D even though I brought all my lens.
