What scope do you have?

u mean my m screen? ahhaha.. no problem with dust... just 1 or 2 spots thats all... no use to be so clean anyway, soon dust will find their way in

haiz, darn, went to Sigma Service center after school today to fix my 17-50 background focusing problem. reach there then i found out i need to bring my camera along too.
so i asked them if i can bring tml, then found out servicing needs appointment . so i say i will make an appointment tml, and they say cannot , so i say thursday, they say cannot , so i say friday, they say can. also took their updated cataloge to drool over the lenses.:xmas: cant believe the size of that 300-800 monster.
anyone has experiences with sigma service b4? the other CSer using this same lens as me said they were pretty difficult and stubborn to handle. right now feeling intimidated by the 1to1 servicing on friday, later unable to re-enact the background focusing problem and end up bringing my lens back.

Wasted my time there 2 times..ended up i went to buy a new lens.
U better ask for the quotaion first before u send in..their lenses dont last..and their services sucks.

can roughly share your experience? when i was going there, i was mentally preparing myself to be hardheaded and get my lens fixed no matter what their technicians said, but my plan did not even start.

So far my experience with them has been positive. No problem, just send in with all the receipt and warranty card to show valid warranty. No hassle at all for me.
As you have another Sigma lens, bring that down as well. Hardcopy of photo showing obvious backfocusing problem will help as well.

For flash up grade, they told me to buy a newer version..sounds chapy to me.i only got it for 4 months for my A1..hiaz..
then when i use one of my sigma lens on my digi, it got some B F....but film ok ley!
:dunno: then i ask the fellow there to test for me, he took my lens, viewing with just his eyes, told me its ok!:bigeyes: then i told him to down load the pic, he then say a bit soft!:sweat:
So i ask if i send in for servicing how, was told that their techicain was on leave for a week! and it will cost about $300 plus cleaning.etc..:bsmilie: big joke.....
I even meet the japan boss there, who ask me to get a newer version...bbbbbb!!!! end up i did got a new pc....but not a sigma loh...can they be trusted for their service?? it depends on how you see them loh.

my lens was without warranty, he try to hint that i drop it which i did not! thats the problem with sigma lenses, u get one now, 2 years later ,ti cant be use or need to send in for rechiping..

If you can get another copy of the same Sigma lens that don't have the same problem, it will be much easier to show and prove it to them.
Work out your strategy how to prove there is a focusing problem. Find out a way where you can easily and will always be able to demonstrate the focus problem on site, or they will start giving excuses that you are focusing wrongly or problem with your cam. Bring another lens (SIGMA if possible) that don't have problem to prove there is nothing wrong with your cam focus mechanism. Not sure if they can view your photos while there, if not have to bring notebook as well.
If you need the technician do call to make sure he/she is around when you are there.
Finally be COOL, nothing works when everyone is upset. All the best.
