I think they cant even confirm a simple testing in their lab..

to me, the worse thing that can happen is me going back there with them saying that "the japan side say nothing wrong with the lens. You can take it back".:angry:

oh..........the lens will have no more background focusing issue and is going to be me most commonly used lens on this body.

just got my camera this morning. its a Minolta 3xi. cheap but so far so good. I got it only SIN$150. Can spend more money on nice lenses. haha. anyone want to share tips on best way to use it?

Hmm... weird leh, for my case they did a test on the tele and wide ends, measured the deviation and sent the specs to japan so that they could burn a chip that's tailored to my lens.

It is tailored to correct that particular lens... so it works on any other body... tested liao =)

When u get u lens back, do a full test there , if u find a fault, make noise , dont pay..:bsmilie:

The lens works perfectly now leh. =) I used to have serious frontfocus on my 24-70@ 24 but now it's completely cured.
