Salah liao....it's hot pixel remapping of CCD.
Using month of august as an example:
1. Set the time and date to 23:58 31st August, 2006.
2. Switch off
3. Wait for 3 minutes, the camera date should now be 1st September, 2006. Switch on and the hot pixel should be remapped. This help for those case where there are hot pixel for short exposure time at ISO100.
Hot pixel due to long exposure will not be corrected by this remapping. You will need to turn on NOISE REDUCTION for this.
In less than 27 hours from now, all KM DSLR will be busy doing this during power-up.
Using month of august as an example:
1. Set the time and date to 23:58 31st August, 2006.
2. Switch off
3. Wait for 3 minutes, the camera date should now be 1st September, 2006. Switch on and the hot pixel should be remapped. This help for those case where there are hot pixel for short exposure time at ISO100.
Hot pixel due to long exposure will not be corrected by this remapping. You will need to turn on NOISE REDUCTION for this.
In less than 27 hours from now, all KM DSLR will be busy doing this during power-up.

was kind of things getting worser today. first, saw dust in pictures. used blower to blow. look at refelction of CCD, can see the dust specks. keep blowing, still there. in the end, tried using alcohol with ear buds. made matters worst, it wasn't alcohol, was somekind of medication spirit. can seen sumdges on the CCD. thinking it would evaporate, used my father's industrial compressor to blow into it. forgot the air blown have dust, so got a sticky sumdge with more dust. in the end got extremely worried, so used the ear buds, dip them in water and slowly polished the CCD. then used the dry side of the bud to clean, then back to the wet part, then dry part...................until the CCD looks shining clean, used up 12 earbuds in the process. haiz........

If you see the same hot pixel on different photos for normal daylight photo those are hot pixel and can be remapped.
For switching on a few days after the new month, not sure about that but I guess should be ok, unless the programmer screw up big time. If it's hot pixel, try the above and straight away can verify. :bsmilie:
