I am learning too and learn as much as I can during this school holiday. After that, it will be very busy at school and no more time to do this... You know....Hi Manita, thanks for the explanation. I did not spot-metered for various spots so did not get the right exposures. The vignetting probably can be rid if i took another exposure and blended. Yea still learning my way with the big stopper!

Colours of the Night
Manually blended 4 exposures using ND0.9
This image is shot as part of my night photography project so had to work around certain restrictions. The image is as what you see, the manual blending of exposure was only to help control the highlights which were blown and the area of which the masking was done is extremely small. I could have just presented a single RAW exposure but could not get over the blown highlights. The colours which the Pentax K5 and the Sigma 10-20 f/4-5.6 EX DC HSM can get is quite impressive. I tried shooting this scene with 5D2 and I do prefer the outcome given by the Pentax.

Third reshoot of this scene. With this reshoot, I am using the inversion of GND on this scene for the first time. Finally managed to control the light trails, especially for the head light which I find is of a more pleasing colour and intensity when I apply the GND on the lower half of the frame.
I am aware of the redundant spaces at the top, but I wasn't so sure I'd want any bit of the trails to be taken out or the lamp posts to be cropped away at the same time because of the cropping. The lamp post i tried to align them in a way that each on both sides appear to be facing one another. Trying to rework the bottom on the other hand as the 5-stops of GND really took out the road making it quite under-exposed. Anyway, just be careful when shooting here because it is in the middle of the road and sometimes the drivers do honk at me because it is quite dangerous. :bsmilie:
