Good Morning Singapore!

Manually blended 3 exposures using LEE Big Stopper

Single RAW exposure of 3 image vertorama using GND0.9

Singapore Dragon Boat Association was having a dragon boat race this morning at Boat Quay, which explains the boats on the left. I have always wanted to shoot sunrise here. Could not go wide enough as I wanted a wider view of this area.

Prequel

3 HDR frames vertorama of 5 exposures each (total of 15 RAW exposures) stitched using ND0.9 + GND0.9

This is shot today before the sunset after a heavy downpour in the afternoon. There is no saturation or touch-up done to each of the 15 RAW exposures. Just 3 HDR images of 5 exposures each stitched vertically.

On Location

This is taken on my phone, thought of doing this from seeing Stefan's sharing of the environmental shot of his setup while shooting. Anyway this gives me something to do while waiting for the camera to finish up the bracketed shots. Will try to do this in future to share the physical environment.

Luminosity

Manually blended 7 exposures using GND0.9

Originally shot 6 exposures with the intention to blend them, but made some mistakes with my brushing and cannot be rescued by existing layers hence added in a 7th layer to rescue the mistake.

Wanted to title this as "Sequel" with reference to "Prequel" which I had posted yesterday where "Prequel" was a pre-dusk shot. However, the glow of it made me think only in terms of light.

Nice shot and like those pink colored blocks. Nitpick - Would prefer those buildings nearer to the horizon to be a little more brightness/exposure. This is probably or maybe due to the GND. Overall, would also prefer the whole frame a little higher exposure Nice blending...:)

Sentosa Gateway

Manually blended 2 exposures, one of which is a single RAW exposure and the other is HDR image of 2 exposures tone mapped with GND0.3 inverted

One of the strangest processing ever, I would have never imagined myself combining HDR and exposure blending. HDR successfully controlled the exposure of the signboard of "Sentosa" and exposure blending helped to bring out the light trails better. Strange processing but helped me to get what I had in mind.

Nice work as usual. :)

Anyway, this is what I do most of the time. It's not quite HDR, not quite DRI but rather... I don't know but this is what I do mostly. It's just the work of manual blending. Come to think of it, technically my shots are not really HDR.

Divergence

Single RAW exposure using GND0.3 + GND0.6 inverted

This has been shot and reshot by several photographers and I can't remember who started, then suddenly I remember seeing quite a few takes on this. Wanted to do boat quay today but Singapore River is extremely murky lately. I did not want to do Clarke Quay at sunset (saving it for a sunrise shoot in time to come), thus remembered that further down the road, I could do this.

Hi Zaren, thanks for the feedback. I also felt so when i saw it during PP. and it is strange that in the brighter exposure, the left side is slightly darker. I tried to account for this observation, which could not be vignetting since it is only limited to one side, but couldn't. Even the direction of sun light should not cause this.

can try some backlight correction...

Thanks for the advice and working on the image! Anyway there is some shades of red below, which i guess is the by-product of the Correction?

the shades of red were already in the original image, which got accentuated as a result of the correction.
