31.3.13

This is a single RAW exposure of 1-minute using GND0.9 soft. Unlike yesterday when I blended 3 exposures manually, this was much more straightforward as the light was still low despite the colours starting to come on. Therefore, there was very minimal processing needed.

2.4.13

Chose this as my foreground anchor to lead towards the position where the Sun was going to rise. Took 4 exposures and blended manually.

5.4.13

First of the series to document the Zion Road HDB housing estate. This is where I grew up in after I was born and so much memories so much fondness is tied to it. I have always seen photography as a mean for me to retain the memories of present for the future, but never has it hit me so hard and personal that this is going to be it. I figured it is a little late to do this documentation as there are more accessible vantage points back then and as much as I regret my slow actions, I realised that it is better late than never. For I would be a failure if I tell others I shoot buildings but failed to document the place which saw me grow up over the years.

I had seen a local photographer's series on this, I wish to present it from a point of view of how I saw my estate as I grew up. Ironically, as I grew up, I could never see anything worth photographing about my estate.

9.4.13

A re-process of an old photo shot initially when I started active shooting. An exercise in seeing the difference in the processing technique now compared to the past. Comparing now and then, I can see how I have changed in my beliefs and priorities. It is an useful exercise which serves as a check after shooting for 9 months.
