Don't think they will kill it entirely, but perhaps they will fix the only flaw with it.. Which is the lack of an APS-C or full frame sensor.

That would be killing CX. DX or FX sensor would necessitate another line of product with another set of lenses...

Did some calculations last night, considering sensor size cropping from D800 the pixel count is 4.9mp, D7100 7mp. There is some pixel density advantage, and hopefully focus as well.

It would be going backwards if they did yank the series imho. Let's pray that they continue the development of the 1 series.

I went on a walkabout with a few of my church buddies yesterday. Thought I would share a few shots that I was blessed to get here to show why I sincerely believe Nikon would be doing the wrong thing if they stopped their work in the 1 series development. My set-up yesterday --> V2 + FT1 + Sigma 50-500mm OS either hand-held or on monopod.

Sorry if it is not directly related to the V2. I just bought a set of V1 with 10mm F2.8 yesterday and really liking this little camera so far. The AF is really fast and exposure spot on. Is there any thread here which discuss the 1 Series cameras and lenses? Thinking of getting the 18.5mm F1.8 next and maybe the 32mm F1.2 later..

I hv posted some shots with the 18.5mm f1.8 on page 1 of this thread, it's a very sharp lens n produces very nice bokeh wide open.
